    Ricoh sponsorship

Do I have to explain everything! Clearly that's a different scenario, you couldn't rebrand Anfield or Old Trafford successfully either.

If you check back on my posts I think I said before the vote that I believed the terms would be fudged. I still think that will be the case. Anybody with half a brain knows how politicians operate.

    Ricoh sponsorship

I think a lot depends on the sponsor. If Bolton were to become sponsored by a leading brand I think the name would change in the publics mind, but the issue with Bolton that they've got a sponsor who is a little known Italian Clothes firm, who the hell are Macron, no I don't care either!

Same today as it was in 2007 isn't it? I'm sure it will change again ad the pound will strengthen. They're not fixed to each other they are distinct currencies!

Another disingenuous point badly made, Holland is pretty flat, Scotland & Wales are not, there are virtually no houses on the Munros or Snowden. Most of the countries with higher population density than the UK are very small, like the Vatican City, Monaco or Bahrain. Of the countries with...

EU governance is an unworkable compromise with no way the electorate can make the politicians change course, that's a huge part of the reason why I wanted out. Did anybody ever offer an alternative to the treaties of Maastrict, Amsterdam, Nice or Lisbon? No they were foisted upon the country and...

    Ricoh sponsorship

Well clearly CCFC add value but only if they commit to the stadium for the length of the sponsorship deal will the deal be the best it can be. So there is scope for negotiation, which might involve pegging rent for a long term with a cut of the sponsorship money. However Tim keeps saying we're...

    Hillary / US Election Thread

This morning on Radio 5 there was a Nevadan guy saying in all seriousness that "Hillary is a Satanist its on the internet". (it is BTW, Nicky Campbell checked).

Its very much more difficult these days than it ever was, when I entered the property market houses were about 3 times average salary and rent for a half decent property was under 25% of income. Now an entry level house (in this part of the world) is 5-6 times income of someone earning 25K and...

Too much baggage going with the stuff I approve of. Labour under these people will break the economy and fritter money away. I can't see myself ever voting Labour again. I want stability and steady improvements not revolutionary change. Tuition fees, that is another policy disaster, not...

You surely cannot believe what you've just said! 7 out of 10 labour held constituencies voted leave. The problem isn't immigrants as such it is poor and declining prospects for unskilled people born in this country. You can't brush something like that away by telling people what they should...

Nobody believes they will, if the courts rule against May she will have to proceed as they've interpreted the law.

That war was a long time ago, it was about the supremacy of Parliament over the Monarch over not over a direct vote of the people. In those days there wasn't even a universal vote, women certainly didn't count. Things change, you have to have a system in accord with the times.

As I understand it only if the Supreme Court accept the Government argument. Also as I understand it the MPs will nod it through in quick time if the Courts rule against it. The issue certainly highlights the need for the law to be crystal clear about what freedom of action the Government have...
