    12 Games to Go

We've got a more favourable run-in than many of our relegation candidates so I'm not losing faith yet. I expected a loss last night as Robins has always traditionally struggled against sides who play a more direct brand of football so whilst frustrating it hasn't worried me. It's inevitable...

    Darren Moore

Moore is a well-respected and well-rated manager in the industry. You'd find few people who either know him or have worked with him previously who would say otherwise. Unsure what information you're basing your opinion on. I assume nothing as per usual. However, that being said he lacks...

    Beat the drop

Just looking at the run in of teams in and around us and Birmingham's is horrendous. 8 of their remaining fixtures is against teams in the top half of the table. In particular that includes 4 of the current top 6 as well as an in-form Cardiff and Barnsley. They also play an in-form Nottingham...

Match Thread Blackburn Match Thread - 27th Feb - 3PM Kickoff - Ewood Park

To be fair what is there to be said. It just shows he's simply not clinical enough which I'm afraid translates into him not being good enough. Little point in getting in the right positions if you're not going to put the ball in the back of the net - especially as a striker.

You thought the Ricoh and St Andrews was bad...

Clubs are cutting back on pitch maintenance in an attempt to cut expenditures this season. Undoubtably Newport have done the same. Combine that with the bad weather we've just seen the back of, it's unsurprising that it's looking this shoddy.

Didn't Robins say he was ahead of schedule and that all being well he could potentially feature in a game setting (likely to be U23s) before the end of the season?

I believe Robins said that the chance of reoccurrence is now no more likely than a player who had never suffered an ACL before which is really positive news. So, fingers crossed he's now over the hill.

I believe he was also still feeling pain in his foot. Couple that with a lack of fitness he was hardly going to be pulling up trees. The notion that he's not good enough is preposterous.

Good decision from the club. I'll certainly want to be there for when he makes his first appearance next season - hopefully at the Ricoh and in front of a packed crowd!

He also dealt with a shot from distance quite well. Most competent goalkeepers would have probably stopped it, but I thought the way he parried the ball away to the left was well executed.

    Ricoh Return

I heard the same around 2/3 weeks ago. However, the sceptic in me refuses to believe it until I'm sat in my usual seat.

Some of the valuations suggested in this thread are hugely inflated. The club will have done incredibly well if they received a penny more than £4m if he was sold. The pandemic has almost certainly instigated an attitude shift amongst clubs whereby the willingness to pay over the odds for...

Would hardly say he chose poorly. He went to a club that offered him a bigger salary and one that in theory had a good chance of being promoted to the Championship. He can only make decisions based on what he thought was best at the time - and at the time Sunderland was clearly the better...

    Supporters forum - 25th February

In all fairness I think the low uptake was pretty obvious from the outset. The older generation may not have access to a tablet or laptop/computer required to stream iFollow, or simply they just won't know how to use it/be aware of it. Then there are those who may not want to pay for their own...

Ah I didn't realise there was a different system for the Championship, my mistake.

    iFollow attendance

As we were the away team I don't believe we would've taken the full £25.500. To my knowledge the home team retains all of the revenue for the tickets they sell through their own website and then they also get the revenue for the first 500 away fans that purchase tickets via their own club...

Not exactly sure on the details as I never usually press too much. Stretching my memory slightly here but I believe all he mentioned was that commercially, it was a far better deal than what was agreed at the Ricoh. So I assume full access to revenue received from parking, F&B, among other...

The figure is accurate. It was reiterated to me by a contact who was previously employed by the club and who I still keep in touch with from time to time. If anything I think it's actually a little over £1m. According to him it works out at around £50k per game.

I read quite an interesting article in the FT related to this topic. Essentially I think it's predominantly down to the fact that not all people will take the vaccine - leaving them vulnerable, and to keep cases down as much as possible to avoid further mutations as there's a risk that the virus...
