Clubs are cutting back on pitch maintenance in an attempt to cut expenditures this season. Undoubtably Newport have done the same. Combine that with the bad weather we've just seen the back of, it's unsurprising that it's looking this shoddy.

I believe Robins said that the chance of reoccurrence is now no more likely than a player who had never suffered an ACL before which is really positive news. So, fingers crossed he's now over the hill.

I believe he was also still feeling pain in his foot. Couple that with a lack of fitness he was hardly going to be pulling up trees. The notion that he's not good enough is preposterous.

The figure is accurate. It was reiterated to me by a contact who was previously employed by the club and who I still keep in touch with from time to time. If anything I think it's actually a little over £1m. According to him it works out at around £50k per game.
