    Transfer Rumour Ian Maatsen

Really good watch. You can tell he's a player that is desperate to make it in the game and has an excellent work ethic. Looking forward to seeing him in action. https://www.chelseafc.com/en/news/2021/05/09/watch-ian-maatsen-s-story-of-life-on-loan

    Loan Players

I've never been more blown away by a loan player than Armstrong in the first half of the 2015/16 season. He was genuinely unplayable and made solid players at that level look poor week in week out. The fact he was just 18 as well was all the more impressive.

    21/22 Summer transfer mega-thread

It's hardly a contradiction as I've already made my views clear on the fact that Moore's career so far flatters to deceive in parts. However having said that, I don't feel there's a correlation between not being overly convinced whether a signing is an upgrade and writing him off entirely. By...

I suspect the Gyokeres we have now will be a better player than what we had for the majority of his loan with us. He was devoid of confidence when he arrived and wasn't totally match fit. With a full pre-season under his belt and a bit of faith from Robins I think we'll see more of the player...

How is recounting his career 'putting him down?'

Result is meaningless. Must be hugely challenging playing in this heat so I'm sure the players are just looking to get through these fixtures unscathed.

That's hardly consistent of a meltdown. Saying the squad is a bit on the thin side is literally just an observation.

Who's gone into meltdown? Weird post.

    21/22 Summer transfer mega-thread

To be fair I think it's understandable why we're struggling on the financial front: - No big windfall from a player sale or sell-on fee as of yet - EFL loan - Bonuses for players and staff for remaining in the Championship - CBS ticketing office, club shop refub and new crest - Pre-season in...

Prior to Henderson's arrival he was actually kept out of the side by Jamal Blackman for much of the season after the latter initially stepped in following an injury to Moore. But he managed to keep him out of the side even after Moore recovered.

Apparently Kelly is being moved to CB. Probably explains why they're after Leif.

No one has actually physically written him off though? They've simply questioned whether he'll be a significant upgrade, which with Moore's background and the aforementioned reasons I as well as others have previously mentioned, is fair. You've already formed opinions on Moore though. You've...

In all fairness whilst he got it wrong about Bristol none of his other points are nonsense. You're just actively choosing to ignore them and instead resorting to calling him thick whilst in turn crediting yourself as being logical. Personally I think any point that is backed up with reason and...

    Ticket prices

It's £30 a ticket for 6 games. If you don't think that's justifiable then don't go to those fixtures. But given the quality of their product has increased (as has their overheads) and the fact that we're back at the Ricoh, their prices were always going to follow suit. Unsure why that's a...

    21/22 Summer transfer mega-thread

I'm only speculating here but if I had to guess, Robins' initial plan - probably after missing out on Walton - was to bring in two GK's to challenge for the No.1. spot but other priorities were in need of addressing. I can imagine despite having a plan in place prior to the transfer window...

Better Days suggested we were looking at another keeper - that was around week following Moore's signing. That may or may not have been Šarkić, we can only speculate.

    21/22 Summer transfer mega-thread

I don't, but numerous sources alluded to the fact that Matija Šarkić was close to coming in but that was then met with radio silence. Unsure what happened with that but given Šarkić's pedigree, coupled with the fact that Wolves wouldn't have sent him on loan to us for him to sit idly on the...

    21/22 Summer transfer mega-thread

I know you're slow but at least read the post properly. I didn't say Moore was worse. Why would Robins look to bring in another GK if Moore was his outright first choice? Does that make sense to you???

    21/22 Summer transfer mega-thread

Did I say Marosi was better? I think you'll find I didn't actually say that. What I did say however is I don't believe Moore was brought in as an outright first choice which makes me question whether he is a significant upgrade. The fact that we were allegedly close to bringing in a GK on...

    21/22 Summer transfer mega-thread

He hasn't played more than a handful of games in three years and no club has even taken him on loan in that period, it's fairly probable that Robins has been actively looking for another keeper to challenge for the No.1. spot which suggests Moore wasn't brought in as an outright first choice...
