Chelsea will be sold before that becomes an issue.

    Summer recruitment

I don't think he'll go PL yet but he'll certainly go to a promotion chasing side. Great talent at this level.

I'm at a loss how that's at all relevant.

    Summer recruitment

    Umm Chelsea...?

    Summer recruitment

We've got zero chance with either. Swift will certainly end up either at a promotion favourite from the Championship, or could even potentially be snapped up by a PL club, perhaps one of those that are promoted to the PL this season. Although he hasn't had the best of seasons I suspect...

    Summer recruitment

The elephant in the room is how successful the club will be in getting rid of the deadwood as they're currently taking up a significant amount of our budget. Walker, Jones, Shipley, Dacosta, Drysdale, Pask, Kelly and Hilssner are all likely to be shipped out. There's also serious question marks...

    Summer recruitment

It's safe to say there's less than zero chance of that happening.

Coventry City publish Accounts for Year Ended 31st May 2021

Louise Coates' salary in two years from Bet365 would be over £150m more than Mel Morris' entire net worth.

    Clarke-Salter

Well they do because Maatsen's contract runs out in 2024.

Not ideal that they have a year's extension. I can perhaps see them triggering that.

Coventry City publish Accounts for Year Ended 31st May 2021

Bet 365's turnover is £2.81bn per year and during the pandemic Denise Coates walked away with £421m. It's not an issue and won't ever be.

    Clarke-Salter

He'll probably get sent abroad. The Eredivisie would be my guess. Chelsea have some kind of relationship with Vitesse so wouldn't surprise me if he ended up there.

Coventry City publish Accounts for Year Ended 31st May 2021

I could be wrong but I'm not sure that's right... I thought amortisation costs are treated as an expense in club accounts and are therefore included in P&S calculations?

    Clarke-Salter

I think it's pretty obvious that's not going to happen, certainly not in the short term, when the club is forced to make compromises in pretty much every department due to the shoestring it runs on.

    Clarke-Salter

I don't really get what you mean. We'll likely already have a nutritionist?

    Clarke-Salter

We will have all of the above, the issue is the level of investment in all of the above will be far greater at Bristol. Equally, their multi-million pound training ground for instance is pretty much brand new and might have been a big sway.

    Clarke-Salter

Not doubting your sources but how was that possible re Liam Walsh? Bristol had a one-year extension on his contract which they were probably always likely to trigger?

Coventry City publish Accounts for Year Ended 31st May 2021

Definitely a positive. Understandably a lot of nostalgia is attached to Ryton but it's incredibly tired and isn't really fit for purpose anymore as a training facility for a Championship club.

    Clarke-Salter

Depends on the context of the conversion and the situation I guess. It's one of those that's a bit of a grey area as it borders on the line of tapping up. Wouldn't matter to a club like Chelsea who will have little interest what happens to Clarke-Salter once his contract expires, but if he...

    Clarke-Salter

Well yeah obviously. But I think it's pretty likely that Robins and Clarke-Salter have had preliminary conversations about the latter's plans once his contract ends at Chelsea.
