Why is it when he clearly has no future at the club?

Hmm not sure that's entirely true. Sheffield United's appointment of Heckingbottom and West Brom's appointment of Ismael proves the bigger clubs don't necessarily go for a 'name' every time. That being said once it doesn't work out they usually revert to the norm and pick a typical name from...

If a club such as West Brom hypothetically did come in for him I'd imagine he'd certainly be tempted if the offer was right, but I just don't think it's as much of a foregone conclusion as people think. Especially not now when finances are still tight and points deductions are looming for...

It is ridiculous as there's no basis whatsoever for it. Granted one will more than likely go but I'd be astounded if we sold two. Equally why would Robins go? It's not really the ideal time to job hunt in the Championship at the minute when numerous clubs are facing points deductions next season.

    Well that's just ridiculous.

Match Thread Hull city (H) 16/3/22

Is there perhaps an issue with how we score goals as well? The majority seem to come from breaks rather than build up which suggests we need to rely on an oppositions back line being quite open. Equally, the fact we score the bulk of our goals in the second half also suggests we rely on tired...

I very much doubt Robins will look to move Waghorn on.

    Without actual net investment

I'm guessing their plan has been the same since Robins came back. To accumulate and sell intangible assets (players) in order to gradually pay off the debt. I'd imagine the hope is that now we're in the Championship that revenue will be earned more quickly as the potential of earning more from...

Yeah I get the issue over the medium term. But I'm more questioning why one player sale translates into a relegation battle next season when realistically it probably won't, or rather there's no way of knowing that. Undoubtedly it's likely over the next 3-5 years we are going to struggle to...

    Without actual net investment

Hasn't squad improvement at the very least been partially based on moving contracted players on season after season though? Why will it pose more of an issue this summer than it did in previous windows when pretty much the entirety of the bomb squad bar Kelly only has one year or less left...

Goalkeeper Simon Moore expected to sign according to the Bladesman.

I do agree but I think at times as well he actually doesn't get down quick enough when dealing with low shots - as shown with Hull's first goal last night. It's strange.

In the space of a summer Barnsley lost their manager, their best player on a free as well their CEO who was instrumental to the entire operation. It's not the same.

    Without actual net investment

Granted external investment is desperately needed but it's worth mentioning that at one point last summer we had Jones, Pask, Bright, Dacosta, Hilssner, Mason, Kastaneer, Jobello, Drysdale on the books, all of which were never really going to make any kind of meaningful contribution on the...

    Championship 21/22

Big task to turn their form around to the point where they can mount a promotion push again. Don't be overly fooled by last night's result, apparently Fulham were appalling and looked dead on their feet. Equally I think if anything the fact their last two fixtures are against Reading and...

    Championship 21/22

Agree with the top two. I can't see Huddersfield dropping off now though and there's zero evidence to suggest otherwise. Blackburn's form is shocking at the minute so I wouldn't be all that surprised to see them drop out. I'd back Forest to be in the top six by the end of the season. They've...

    Championship 21/22

Yeah I'd agree with this. I think his achilleas heel has always been the sheer lack of squad depth though. Behind the Starting XI there's pretty much little to no support, with the exception of a few talented academy graduates who by large are all pretty untested in the Championship.

    Singers Corner Blocks 14-17

To be fair that was always going to be the case. The agenda against the Ricoh, especially the soulless narrative, was always a bit ridiculous.

£14.8 million - combined squad value

Player valuations are based on something though? Potential, length of contract, value to the team, performance, what league they play in, age, if they're on the radar of clubs etc. So it's not really a different story at all as his performances haven't been brilliant recently, he's at the...

£14.8 million - combined squad value

You've based your opinion on player values on absolutely nothing though, as has the other poster. For instance Kane. Didn't we just take on his contract rather than pay QPR a fee? Yet now he's suddenly worth £750k?
