There is a massive lack of decent No 9's. Half the Prem teams need one including most of the top 6. Seems to be one of those positions that's gone out of fashion in favour of more skilful smaller forwards.

Since Lampard came in the only times any of our strikers have looked like scoring regularly is when we played 2 up top. When we play 433 all 4 of them have had a crack down the middle and none have got close to scoring on a consistent basis. Clearly the system isn't helping the lone striker...

It will have been all worked out who was marking who before the game. We also do a mix of man marking and zonal at corners / free kicks. Neither got near to Ballard but clearly Kitchings man looking at the replay.

The squad as it currently is have proven its good enough to make the playoffs next season. With a few quality additions we could push for 3rd or 4th. Will be hard to break into the top 2 with parachute payments. Key will be to keep hold of the players we want to keep.
