Yes they probably will but they have sold about 60 million's worth of talent (so far) so clearly the parachute payments weren't enough.

It's a buyers market if you want rid of a player and a sellers market if you want to keep said player. I can't see anyone stumping up the 10 Mil City are asking. The longer the window goes we may see a lowering of the valuation or payment terms of it.

It would be idiotic to let Thomas leave before his replacement is in place. Too many things can go wrong in that scenario. Replacement going to another club, failing a medical, not agreeing terms as they have you over a barrel etc.

He's played more as an 8 when I've seen him.
