    Robins long term target

We do have players who can and have played at LWB but not left footed ones which isn’t ideal.

Watching Waghorne yesterday he and his experience is going to be important for us his movement and awareness is really good and when we have O’Hare and Bright up and running together will be a real asset,

Sorry thought he was older just read and he cost £500k with certain add ons I’m not saying we should go out and buy him but that is the market we are in for quality centre halves personally I’d rather permanent than a loan, someone you can build a strong defence around. I like MacFadz but at 35...

And if we don’t sort out our defence we’ll be joining them as I said concentrate on us.

There are others I’ve mentioned on another thread Ben Davies is leaving Liverpool as an example but he would be costly wage wise and is 30 but was a decent player for PNE in this division. Whatever we need one and a decent one won’t be cheap.

    Robins long term target

It’s all going to depend what Brighton do about their CBs they have four I think and 50 million quid burning a hole in their pockets from selling White. They are also likely to be in and around the bottom end of the prem. I still reckon a money bid for Osti could do the trick but do we have the...

    Derby

Fully agree. We need to secure at least one top centre-back and make our back line tough as possible, with a mean back four or five backing up the forwards we will be okay.

    Derby

Don’t get this continuing Derby thread I wonder if their websites have anything like a 64 post thread about us, bet there isn’t one. Two weeks to go to the big kick-off after viewing yesterday’s match I suggest we concentrate on us.

    The spine

Having watched what was a very as I expected experimental team at Cheltenham yesterday money needs spending at centre-half that’s not saying I wouldn’t be interested in Bushiri but for me he would be an extra one for the future, there’s a few available Ostigard is one who Brighton want money for...

    Match Thread Cheltenham Town (A)

Fully agree with the above, first friendly I’ve been to for years and it went almost exactly as I thought it might, very experimental especially first half with Walker up top backed by O’Hare not ideal so let’s not criticise Walker too much big improvement after half-time and what I liked apart...

There was a game at either Ryton or the Higgs yesterday between a mixed group of 16s, U/18s, U/23s & first team, one of the goalkeepers is an U16 they are getting games.

    Hamer

You are correct not sure if their contracts are just three year or three plus a year option hopefully it’s the latter but both contracts need extending to maintain their values, certain both will move on at some point it’s the modern game but we need to keep their values up.

    Attendances Next Season

£30 is steep though. not so much those who get their tickets in advance but could affect walk-up I think a lot going to depend how we are doing and who we are playing.

    Attendances Next Season

Don’t think the Forest match is a good yard stick to what our support and attendances could be first it is on tv but also it is early August lots of fans will be away on holidays or just back and a bit skint on a Sunday too can interfere with family plans. Not brilliant but I reckon 12/13k home...

He will be sold one day hoped it might be another year but perhaps not. If it’s to happen selling to Rangers better for us than West Brom and with champions league in mind for him too.

    21/22 Summer transfer mega-thread

Funny the apprehension by some on here about Ian Maatsen joining despite having 34 games under his belt yet were possibly salivating re. Billy Gilmour coming here who has only played a handful of games and one decent performance for the sweaties.
