Tomorrow's game last at home until 20th Dec!

I'll be coming up to Coventry tomorrow to see this shower as it's the only game at home for nearly a month. Many more may feel that too when they realise. After a win away, playing local rivals Walsall with mild weather we may have a half decent crowd. 12k maybe...any advance on that? Usually...

    Delusion?

I think the biggest standout issue here is that the Council/ACL/Higgs and SISU ALL messed up big time and all have egg on their faces. Not one of those entities it seems could fight their way out of a paper bag. WASP owners on the other hand played a blinder. They have a 250 year lease of 100%...

    Trust meeting with wasps

Well they would say that. They need the football club to help drive their revenue...no different to ACL. CCFC need their own revenue and I'm not sure Wasp can offer anymore on that at the Ricoh than ACL did in the past. So we are back where we started. The only difference is CCFC have a...

    Pressley's Judgement

I don't buy into SP being the sort to lose the dressing room particularly. He has a decent nature clearly, can be hard if required but players start getting better and praised then think they are the bees knees. If he was so bad then how did ne motivate a result at Colchester? The highlights...

    Leon Clarke

The issue would be without Wilson would he be as consistent again? Not sure about this but a loan is a loan and you are not obliged if he comes back and he is rubbish, so I suppose nothing ventured, noting gained. It would at least lift the spirit and add competition to the other strikers we have.

Coventry City FC giant crests may be moved at Ricoh as Wasps make mark on stadium

If the council were willing to sell to a hedge fund why would they not have approached the one already in place? Sure there has been bad history between them but if the hedge fund in place had been offered the same deal as wasp owners then sisu would have snapped it up surely? It then is no...

    sign up Ched Evans

I do agree with that sentiment but if in the end he proves his innocence as has been the case for many people wrongly convicted then we all may learn something.

...like I said read the case files before you post an opinion. Certain elements regarding the victim were not aloud in evidence and other extenuating circumstances too. Just ask yourself why his mate was not guilty of rape and he was? She also had a history of promiscuity yet again the...

Just wanted to ask.... How many of you younger chaps on here have had boozy nights ending with a frolic around with some equally drunk girl and had sex? Be honest! Now how would you feel if that girl then cried rape? How many of you could easily be in the same boat but fortunately you were...

    sign up Ched Evans

He served his time for his crime and like anyone else has the right to get on with his life. That said I would sign him on a provisional contract and let him train while he appeals his sentence and conviction. Should he win his appeal then I would sign him for our team and should he lose his...

    CCBCFC Stadium

Perhaps I'm just dim but just how does spending £50b or £75b on a railway that gets you from a to be a matter of minutes quicker benefit the economy of the north? When built at the rate we get things done in this country it will be out of date already and astronomically way over budget. I...

What's Needed at Coventry City ?

Can we stop with the "own the stadium" bit? It's not so. The owners of the said stadium is still the council! A lease is a very different thing to freehold ownership. If you can't get that right then most everything talked of here is in danger of being flawed from the onset.

Where have Elliott and Hoffman been in all this?

What I was driving at was a while back SISU were intimating a value of 20/30m as this was the real 'debt' and they may depart. Hoffman offered a quid on a fag packet and it all went tits up from there. Now if Hoffman had seen that the council would let the Ricoh go on a 250 year lease for as...

Wasps have not bought the Ricoh...

However you slice it WASP are effectively the new lease holders for them selves. Hell we still say SISU don't we? let me see now Otium anyone?

Where have Elliott and Hoffman been in all this?

Can we read a conspiracy yet to be realised into all this? Or is it that they lost faith or the will to get a cheap deal on the Ricoh? I reckon if they had secured a 250 year lease on the Ricoh for the peanut sum of less than 20m including existing loan, they would have had change to buy SISU...

Wasps complete 100% purchase of Ricoh

I recall the original idea was a modular stadium that has the ability to increase in size/capacity as we grow our success. I think the call for a stadium within the city is now a strong one. Perhaps SISU have played a blinder all along? What land asset is suitable in Coventry right now?

    CCFC statement

The shares back then you speak of were not the same. Wasp have purchased we are led to believe a new 250 year lease with rental deal from CCC. Not what SISU wanted, they want to 'own' the stadium freehold and all that goes with that. I agree short term renting the Ricoh on a 250 year lease...

    CCFC statement

I suspect the next issue regarding a new stadium will be whether the council could reasonably refuse planning consent within the City boundary given that they have now effectively sold the Ricoh to a Rugby club and in doing so inadvertently left the cities football club without a home ground...
