If You Could Do Something Else ?

I am already onto my second career having spent 20 years in IT and have been in catering since 2002 and have worked in restaurant, pubs, owned a guest house and now work in a cafe but I would love to own a kennels. We actually put forward a proposal to a local estate to build a kennels on their...

They'll probably be waiting at Nuneaton for him and his gang. It would be a shame if they had alcohol on the coach and were sent all the way back home without getting to the game

I think wearing just denim was ok, it was the one's wearing a leather bike jacket with the tassles on the arms with a denim waistcoat on top with all the patches who had either come on the train or had been dropped off by their mum. I would have thought wearing a denim waistcoat would have been...

    Support Acts

I'm not sure this counts as he had been around since the mid 70s but I went to Monsters Of Rock at Donington in the late 80s with Whitesnake headlining and Dio were on 2nd in the line up of 7 acts and were by far the best band. I'm not sure if it was their first gig in the UK but within months...

Match Thread Coventry City - Newport County Match Thread - Saturday 19th Aug

Stirling is about 16 miles away. In the SPL probably St Johnstone although Rangers, Celtic, Hamilton & Motherwell are within 40-50 miles. I have friends whose son is a STH at Motherwell. It's strange that I haven't been tempted as when I lived in Brussels I went with a friend to watch RWDM, who...

A stag do in Motherwell? I have lived up here over 14 years and have never been tempted to go to watch any of the teams although I may go and watch Stirling Albion this week with @BackRoomRummermill. I'm not sure whether I'll be enjoying the game I am at or worrying about how we are doing and...

I went to Dunfermline for a pre-season friendly when toss-pot Coleman was in charge and we were really shit. It seemed to be a well run club with a great emphasis on attracting younger fans, if we lived close I would have got my son involved. They seem to have fallen on bad times recently and...

I went to watch Stirling v Cowdenbeath a few years back and was shocked at the bad language (I was in with the Fifers though!!) but maybe now he's older. I've got a friend I used to go to HR with who lives in Falkirk so I am planning on a game there too

Old songs not heard anymore ...

I thought they would have but for some reason singing it at Crossley is the 1 I remember, maybe he reacted badly? My Notts Forest supporting mate wan't too upset cause he hated Crossley and could never see why Cloughie picked him

Old songs not heard anymore ...

I remember us singing in the West End at Mark Crossley "Crossley is his name, Crossley is his name, He stinks of piss and has no fiends, Crossley is his name" We must have done it to other keepers but I can't remember I remember singing "Tina, Tina, Tina" at Shilton, must have been around...

    Match Day Routine

I am very jealous of all that can regularly attend games, whether home or away. It looks like I will be getting to just Carlisle away and maybe 1 or 2 home games. My routine changes from game to game and depends if I am working at not in which case I won't know the score until into the 2nd half...

    Just my luck

It's only adding about 300 miles to your weekend trip, if I was given the chance of a family do or an away trip to Yeovil I'd be going to Yeovil too!!

    Some good old names here

Butterworth left at the end of the 84/85 season. Pearce didn't join until after the season had started, Gibson, Stephens, Grimes, Gynn, Platnauer, Withey and Allardyce all joined before season started I think
