Couldn't agree more. Give everyone (including us) a chance to pause for breath. Perhaps then we can approach the rest of the season with no expectations and just enjoy it (all the stuff on the pitch of course)

In all fairness the Council are doing a good job in bringing it all up to date but at the same time maintaing the character of the place, but the locals are generally a pretty conservative bunch that don' t embrace change so these things take time. Also, not much deprivation so hard to attract...
Ok - places that were shitholes and now are much better: first pick for this accolade is Pompey. Absolute sesspit 20 years back - significant investment and thoughtful planning and hey presto - it's a really attractive city centre. Cov has a chance to get things right I'm sure.
