Balega Hidden Comfort are absolutely brilliant.

    Running

After three months of nothing and the previous three fairy minimal due to a reoccurring ankle injury, culminating in having to defer the London Marathon, finally started training again this week. Four runs in seven days. And I hated them all! Obviously pace is horrible compared to what I was...

Despite his slightly poorer form recently, I’d add Gyokeres to that list. He really was unplayable for a period of time and a proper talisman. He’s still young and developing and he’ll absolutely find that form again, and likely push on. Add a real outstanding up and coming CB in the McFadzean...

    Robins is our king

If you wanted to play devils advocate and nit pick; he can be frustrating at times, namely his use (or lack of) substitutions, and I think his default tactics are to be more defensive. But how anyone still doubts him I have no idea. It’s back to being agenda central on here when people do. I...

    Ideal DMC pairing.

This debate has been had a few times and my answer remains the same as when people didn’t rate one of the two; Hamer and Sheaf. With the latter the superior player I said it on the match thread, but glad to see people finally appreciating Sheaf.

Also enjoy how everyone now loves Sheaf. He’s always been class, just goes unnoticed compared to Holywood style players like Hamer.

I miss this place when I don’t get a chance to log on for a few days/weeks - the pre match routine of some is exactly the reason. Good performance and a deserved result thus far.

    Coronavirus Thread (Off Topic, Politics)

Last January pre vaccinations/boosters etc, my partner and I both had covid and it hit us really really hard. Isolating with two kids who were 4 and 17 months at the time was ridiculously hard, I look back and genuinely wonder how we did it! Roll on 12 months, two vaccinations and a booster...

    Merry Xmas everyone 🎅🏻

Merry Christmas and happy Boxing Day to those who do it all again today with the other set of Grandparents/parents/in laws. Sounds like a moan but it’s not - a second day for the kids to open presents, be with family and get all the attention. And more importantly (joking, sort of…) another...

    Running

My running has gone completely off the radar, just after picking myself back up from the disappointment of having to pull out of the marathon in October. I stupidly played 7 a side not long after recovering and someone accidentally nailed my just recovered ankle, so not been able to run since...

    And in lighter news...

Congrats! Two is a new level of love and enjoyment, but also a whole new level of pain (in the affection and loving come with the territory type of way!). Few of my friends have recently had their first and while you never realise it at the time, because why would you, looking back, one is a...

Planning to watch the new Dexter but I guess like most it’s been years since I finished the original series. Do I need to re-watch/read a summary or is it well recapped?

Fair bit of possession in their half but when it’s slow ball the lack of movement is shocking. He’s very hit and miss, but it’s worth giving Walker a go. When on it his movement is good.

Has everyone been ill? The whole team looks tired. Way too much jogging around. Kelly on now isn’t going to help with our offensive play, but will add some stability.

Absolutely terrible from Dabo. Whole team don’t look up for it yet. We’ll come through though, Sheaf, Hamer, COH, Gyokeres will find their feet and that’ll change the game.

How anyone doesn’t see the value of Gyokeres, even though he isn’t scoring, is beyond me. Exact same for O’Hare too.

The central three of the midfield is by far our best footballing combination. Not comfortable with Dabo at CB again, but needs must. Looking forward to seeing us play today - lots of good technical players on the pitch. We use need to ensure we get the ball to be able to play.

All part of it - those lows made it even more of a special ending in my opinion. I remember how grim some of those games were, I recall sitting there and looking around thinking this is the real hardcore support now, as nobody else would pay for this. I even had a temporary seed of doubt re MR...

Used to love this, binged it when I first discovered it, but sort of lost track since he moved to New York (I think it was NY?), so not sure what season that was. Need to get back into to as it was great.
