    Next Week

The difference now is the players know it's been a bad run of results and can't put their finger on it but will feel re energized for next week which i suspect can't come soon enough. A win again and the momentum could be back with us.

    TM frustrations yesterday

I was literally just behind the dugout yesterday. I was listening to TM's conversations on the bench, hands often raised to his head and a shake of the head! At times coming off the bench shouting at the players. The game plan was clearly not being executed correctly and he was telling players...

    Ratings v Blackpool?

RCC 7 - Competent when called upon. Distribution good. Ricketts- 7 Did his job well. Did exactly as required by TM. Often having words on the touchline and clearly not his job to get forward. Martin - 9 Excellent. Won just about everything, looked very good. Stephens 7.5 Alongside Martin...

Just listened to the after match

A lot of confidence came back today. As they walked off they were back slapping and smiling with a big yes on their lips. Kinda said to me they wanted it today and feel they can go and get back to full winning ways.

McLaren sack imminent, Armstrong recall imminent?

It may be a 24 hr clause subject to other conditions. I certainly would not be simply hoping he won't be called back at the drop of a hat. Maybe the 24 hr cluse is subject to a game week plan i.e. after 30 games it can not be within 24 hrs etc etc. But anyway I hope we keep him for the play offs.

McLaren sack imminent, Armstrong recall imminent?

I think a recall is extremely unlikely. He has been cleared to remain at Coventry for the rest of the season. Now the premier league is a different beast and with relegation threatened Newcastle a pressure pot no 10 year old can be expected to play in. Coventry have a their map planned out and...

Time to wake up and smell the coffee

I hate Blackpool! I'm going to be there though. Sort of worse luck but a good luck thing to see my team as I'm visiting the in-laws in Lytham. A few seasons back we got thumped there when coleman was in charge and were clueless. We owe them one and I demand a result to shout about!

Time to wake up and smell the coffee

The problem is just being exacerbated with each defeat. But as with all bad runs they do eventually end. Ours will. Looking at those fixtures remaining if we get back some form I can imagine a decent finish after all. It's all about getting a win under the belt again. There is no better time...

    Shrewsbury Match Thread

It will turn around as inevitably things do. The problem is when. At the moment we are losing ground with each game and making it harder to recover for a play off place. It does sound like we had a better performance with half the possession and more shots than them but we have lost.

    Shrewsbury Match Thread

I'm beginning to think there is more going on behind the scenes than is being let on? TM and MV are not the sort of experience that falters in such a way game after game without some explanation to it surely?

I would not like to face that side coming at me if I were Shrewsbury. let Vincelot protect the defenders and Fleck come forward more when required.

Lorentzen was pants on Saturday. I hope that is down to match fitness. I can see us getting a credible draw in the circumstances but i feel there must be more if we really mean to play ourselves out of this whole we have dug ourselves. Didn't think a prolonged break helped us out Saturday...

    A couple of weeks later....poll

I think overall we can all agree we are looking for something different to be done on the pitch that will help us re kindle our spark and prove there is another way of doing this, even if that isn't wholesale change. With that I'll go 4-4-2 with Otis, just not sure about having a big lump up...

    A couple of weeks later....poll

i understand that O but as i said just because you play a certain way does not mean the opposition should be able to work that out and dominate you from doing so? As I said Burton are still grinding away the same as are many others. they have not changed their game because it's usually strong...
