Yep, spot on. Time to play Kitching alongside Binks, and bring in Bidwell. And stick with it.

Go on then, how does this end?

    Yep, I got that👍

Match Thread Preston North End FC - Coventry City Match Thread - Saturday 4th Nov

Yep, keep the box, and start Wright again. I’d also have a back 3 of Lats Kitching Binks, and give that a run. I’d also give Bidwell a go at left wingback. We never win at Preston and rarely draw, so 2-1 to City.

    Ronnie Rees RIP

A top player, anyone watching City in the 60’s will remember him with fondness. We had some players in those days, eh? RIP Ronnie….

Nice touch tonight-When will it turn toxic?

Agree, he should start on Saturday, he looked better last night, and it’s not as if Simms grabbed the shirt when he came on last night.

What Do We Need To Change?

I think it’s back to basics for a start, we need a few clean sheets. So Bidwell in for Desilva (who passed sloppily last night, and isn’t evidencing consistent end product), decide who your best defence is, and play it into form. My view is Bidwell, Binks, Kitching, Latibeaudiere, MVE. We’ll...

    Sir Bobby Charlton

When I worked in Derby many years ago my company sponsored one of his soccer schools. I spent a day with him at one of the schools, and he was a real gent. R.I.P.

Absolutely right! Hamer is the sort of character who wouldn’t take his bat and ball away. He would have given his all and we would have been a different team with him in it. Gamble on making the play-offs again with him in the team.

    Preston Tickets

This exactly! Preston were total cheats that day, time wasting, niggly, and even the crowd time wasted. Then Moussa scored that cracking goal deep into injury time, and I have never gone so mental in all my life. Didn’t we nearly repeat the feat the next season, when we lost 1-0, but John Fleck...

    Does Robins lack ambition ?

I’ve only seen him in that friendly at Exeter, so you have more knowledge of him than me. It was, however, quite a competitive friendly, and it was Exeter not Forest Green Rovers that I was mentioning.

    Does Robins lack ambition ?

I do hope Obikwu gets a decent chance this season, thought he looked as if he he’d something about him at Exeter. Going to be difficult given the money we’ve spent on forwards.

    Does Robins lack ambition ?

Why? Do you not recognise a sensible post, expressing an opinion?

    Does Robins lack ambition ?

Not sure. How often over many years have we seen City try to hold onto a win, only to be pegged back late on. There is also an argument to say that Robins bringing subs on during added time cost us the win against Huddersfield, as their goal came during ‘added’ added time. Rather we attacked and...

    Transfer Rumour Haji Wright

I have to say, when I saw the video clips, I didn’t see anything that excited me. Just have to hope that there is a player there and that Robins, Viveash and his team mates help him to improve/perform.

    Ellis Simms Going Forward

Because it’s a forum where people are able to express their thoughts and ideas?

    Dean Austin

Agree with this, think Simms looks like he could be a player and needs to start and get some minutes. Not sure about Wright, haven’t seen the potential that I thought Gyokeres had, but by no means writing him off yet, But if Simms were to come good, not sure how he’d get minutes…

    Let’s face it.

I think based on Tuesday evening, we should rest Palmer and start Ayari, he looked far more dynamic when he came on, tried to make things happen. If you start Palmer you’re implicitly accepting that level of performance. I like the look of Binks, not sure what our best back 3 will be, assuming...

    Robins on Lati in midfield

I thought Binks looked decent at Exeter (more solid than Thomas) and he’s come to play. So I hope he gets his chance, liked his attitude when he signed, and he’s played some serious football.

    Tom O'Connor Wrexham

Yeh, but I think he’s getting a fair bit of agreement… You must be bored this morning, 3 nothing posts, and yet you’re having fun? 🤔

Match Thread Coventry City - Middlesbrough Match Thread - Saturday 12th Aug

While it was great to see us win, I didn’t think we played that well. We gave the ball away very cheaply, and could have conceded at least a couple of goals. The ball dropped kindly for us today, and I didn’t think we were particularly fluid. Add to that Boro’s difficulties with losing players...
