Phone in Tonight - Potentially something "big"

It might be Booby Goulash announcing that his 1993 bid to take over from Bryan Richardson is finally gaining some traction. Or Jojar Dhinsa or Michael Byng or Preston Haskell IV or Richard Overson or Joe Elliot or Gary Hoffman or Simon Jordan or some other no mark whose name I can't be...

Yeah right because that's exactly how successful takeovers happen; through the media. If someone is announcing their bid through CWR my guess is it's already a non-starter with SiSU.

Video Coventry v Forest Green Rovers

Remember the opening day of the season when Duck broke through the defence in injury-time in a game we had already won. Instead of shooting he chose to pass it to Jodi Jones who clinically completed his hat-trick.... Long time ago wasn't it?

    Peter Reid's book...

Kilbane was pretty similar, although he did score one goal and swore at a knobhead in the crowd.

    Peter Reid's book...

Remember the televised game at a Leicester? Lost 3-0. He just stood on the touchline looking bereft of ideas and with exactly zero fucks to give. I said at the time (on GMK if I recall correctly - actually it was probably on LAST) that a manager who was trying to get sacked would not have...

And just before the bottle there was a coffee cup (presumably full from the way it sailed thru the net). TBBM called Chapman Bananaman - presumably because he was dressed all in yellow - which raised a titter or two but gave rise to some particularly unpleasant comments. The thing that bothered...

    Biamou

As I said yesterday - and it's damning with faint praise but I actually think Biamou was our best (or least worst) player yesterday. He never looked like scoring but neither did anyone else (apart from one poor miss from Le Duck). And while we are at it, a change of style was called for...

Biamou was our best player today (or least worst perhaps). Won almost every header but no one there to pick up his flicks. Denied a v good shout for a penalty but I admit he never ever looked like scoring.

As a kid I always thought our badge (with the scrolls at the top and the bottom rather than just the elephant on the ball that the kit had on) looked like a telephone.

Could this guy be the answer to our goalscoring problems?

Away to Barnsley. We were celebrating the goal for about 15 seconds before it dawned on us that he had missed.

    Micky Quinn

Actually I will forever contend that Rosario made him look good rather than the other way round. How many Goals did Quinn score after Rosario left?

    Micky Quinn

He campaigned long and hard for Newcastle to recall Armstrong from us. We're nothing really special to him, he's nothing really special to us. We paid his wages for a while, he did a decent job for us for a decent part of that period. Then he moved on. Time we did too.

An alternative view is that Collins used the local press to state his desire to play for our club only to decline to wait for us when an offer came in from another club. Twice. First time Swindon, second time Luton.
