    Transfer rumours in or out

Michael Silvestre was a team mate of all of those (except for Shearer I think)

    Sutton

Leeds are fourth in the Championship. We were fourth in the top flight at the time.

Who will be here next season?

Tudgay as player-manager, Ricketts as his assistant

    SLADE

Stevenson wasn't allowed to play in the round before last because he was serving a suspension for being sent off, even though it didn't count for his suspension.

The CT report on our 0-0 draw vs Palace u23s seems a little at odds with the one on the Offal where we lost 1-2. Actually it doesn't. The newsnow headline says we lost 1-2 but when you click on the link the offal also says we drew 0-0.

    Marcus Browne

Decent finish but slightly underwhelmed given the hype it had received. There may have been 50 scouts there last night but were they all there to watch Browne? Can't get excited by talks of more possible loans. If he comes, great. If he doesn't meh ... especially if he or his reps are holding...

    Name this player..........

Major thing I remember about Bryan King was him giving away a free-kick for carrying the ball outside his penalty area while kicking the ball out of his hands. Star Soccer had a field day with the "instant replay".

What a fab picture of one of our former players

Anyone else remember the lovable Geordies singing "Who Ate all the Sheep's Eyes?" at Hadji and Chippo?

Phil Neal actually but the point stands

    Kevin Foley

The key difference is Mowbray wanted a Championship defender who he could pressure into signing for a league one club on L1 wages. Surprisingly enough they all opted to go to Championship clubs (even to sit on the bench at Rotherham). Slade seems to have done, what some of us were demanding in...

    Paul Telfer

Telfer was an under-rated player for us. Firmly believe we wouldn't have lost at Vile that day if he hadn't had his leg broken when we were 2-0 up (although we would still have gone down). Gallacher was sheer class but not under-rated; everyone knew he kept us up single-handedly when Don Howe...

    11 million pound signing

Good luck to Harris I really hope he makes it, with us or via a transfer fee to a new club. However top football people like.....? were you trying to damn the lad with faint praise?

    January Fire Sales

Have you read "My Father and Other Working Class Footballer Heroes" by Gary Imlach? Stuart Imlach was a Scottish international winger who had a good career in the days when top-flight players caught the bus to the game with the fans. Anyway Stuart was at City, Jimmy Hill sold him to Palace...

    January Fire Sales

Yep, but the "So long and thanks for all the fish" one of last January was very unsubtle.

What a fab picture of one of our former players

Really? I thought it was a really sad spectacle to see tbh. Was miles off the pace (in a testimonial) and I was hardly surprised when Glenda left him out of the WC'98 squad abt 10 days later.

    January Fire Sales

Ok Fred, and the January 2015 YouTube shopwindow video made by his family of his highlights didn't suggest that he was looking to leave at all?
