Really excited for tonight, and confident too after seeing the unchanged team.
Indicates MR has opted to play to our strengths as opposed to mitigating theirs.
Can’t wait for that incredible atmosphere again tonight.
Not a fan of grown men wearing replica tops to games, but have to say I’m tempted to wear this one tonight.
Plus I’ll be identifiable to all other Phase One Elites.
Really not concerned about the physicality tonight, Middlesborough were a big physical side and we more than matched them.
I doubt Allen will come up against a bigger CM than Crooks, and he has his best game in a CCFC shirt.
Side note - Crooks is overrated.
We have to play our game and let...
Not too sure what they came out to on Saturday. Not sure if it’s just my memory, and I wasn’t especially paying attention, but it seemed to be a mash of different songs, some Cov related and some just popular football related songs?
They will be a boring to watch long ball, physical team - not dissimilar to Middlesborough. However we were the more physical and aggressive side against Middlesborough and proved we know how to take advantage and play against aging old school managers.
I wouldn't change anything, but based on...
I posted this after the game on against Reading on 21st August:
'Said on the match thread; the togetherness of the players and the connection between fans and players is reminiscent of our promotion campaigns.
By no means saying the outcome will be the same, but it’s fantastic to be part of...
I thought he was ok too. His covering and positional sense were much improved and he was keen to bring the ball out a few times.
Clearly not fit yet though, which is slightly surprising as I thought he had a decent pre season.
I’ve gone the opposite way to many on Maasten after Saturday; I had no concerns previously but he frustrated me slightly at the weekend.
The giving the ball away for their chance was a big mistake, but I’m not actually too concerned with that. He was over confident trying to do step overs in...
Separate incident - this was in front of the main stand, Hamer came over and was handed a young lad (age 3/4 at a guess) who was pretending to throw into the crowd.
Could have been a random fan but he came over with a purpose and pointing to the crowd.
You could tell the goal meant a lot to Waghorn, and he deserved it today.
Anyone see Hamer with the young lad after the game? Anyone know the back story?
Outstanding from Moore, three times!
Waghorn went mental at Maasten and rightly so.
Don’t think he’s weak, almost over confident which he can’t be at this level.
Genuinely think we’ve been the better team.
Get the points re too much passing, but equally that’s our style and how we create. Just need the right person on the end of the move.
We’ve looked more threatening than them. They have one (their LW) player who is a big threat, but not much else.
Walker certainly a better finisher, but it’ll change the dynamic as he won’t do any of the other stuff Waghorn does.
Depends what MR wants from the game.
Would like to see him around 60 minutes though. A confident Jones might be useful too - there defence looks shakey when pressed/on the turn.
