    The Old Five

Have heard the chant "Wew want the old five!" on occassions back in the 80's and even the 90's. My dear departed father used to mention the old five on occassions, so it was pretty well known (until I started to watch us of course)

Excuses For Not Going The Crewe Game Thread

I live in Northampton, and the transport links are hopeless (apart from the rail and road system of course). The sooner we come home the better. Also, there is no way I am travelling 35 miles to that shithole to watch that rubbish. (for info - I am actually going)

    Crawley

The trouble was a pitch invasion by a few over hyped loons last time we played - 1st game of the season so emotions running a bit high.

    ***Relegation Thread***

I had a similar feeling last night before the equalise. The 4 point gap takes out the games in hand (and Crawley have to play Notts as well as us) I my view a point is likely to be enough, but beat Crewe or Crawley and we are ok. A glass half full post if ever there was one!

The SISU response to the Guardian & Overseas company ownership of clubs.

God I hate tax dodgers - complete reform of the tax system is needed to reduce this as much as possible - pay your way in life and make the world a better place is my mantra for the day

    Favourite Single/Album/Concert

It changes by the minute really - Heaven Knows I'm Miserable Now for the single as I got older. Particularly with my favourite lyric "..why do I spend valuable time with people who don't care if I live or die.."

Pretty much agree with this. Crawley and Notts play each other at the weekend which is a big help.

    20 points - where from

Just had a quick look through the fixtures of the relevant teams - in my opinion 3 points will definately be enough. Crawley play Notts Co at the weekend and I factored that being a draw.

Wasps owner Derek Richardson explains Coventry move and rejects "franchise" tag

The bloke asked questons, and these are the answers. Richardson, or anyone else for that matter is never going to paint themselces in a bad light and say "actually, fuck it you're right - it is a franchise, and we have stiched up our core fan base etc.." Has anybody on here actually noticed...

    Highfield Road Memories: Games

Think you are right about Cov and Man City being too good at that point - unfortunately only 1 went up! Anyway Liam, years:- West Ham LC 3-2 80/81, same as Watford 5-0 (day after John Lennon was killed I believe), Man City 4-3 as above, Spurs 4-3 86/87, Leeds 3-4 99/00, Chelsea 3-2 97/98, ditto...

So, looking like Blackpool, Millwall and Wigan coming down to League 1

Never been to Millwall, and like others have said, London games always make for a decent day out. Been to Blackpool so not fussed about that, and Wigan may be an option is it falls right for me. As for how they will do - well, I will give it some thought if we stay up and after the summer when...

    Highfield Road Memories: Games

4-3 v Spurs, 3-2 LC v West Ham, 3-2 Chelsea (Dion hatrick), 3-2 v Man utd (Huckerby), 5-0 v Watford LC replay), 3-4 v Leeds (even though we lost - first half was fantastic 3-3 at ht), 4-3 v Man City (Thommo won it with a 25 yarder), etc...

    Italy away

Fair enough mate. And having attended the friendly at Wembley there were a few Irish fans in the pub (Celtic fans) singing rebel songs - pisses at lot of Irish fans off to be honest as it is time to move on. I think we actually did meet in a pub on Whitehall in the afternoon, and discusse the...

How do you think the table is going to look after Friday's games?

The problem for me is that I think we will. If we are in the bottom four with a trip to Bristol City coming up soon (no points there), then we could simply run out of games. The one positive thing is that our GD (couldn't be arsed to type goal difference) isn't too bad compared to most - an...
