No Torp or Sheaf does mean we’re missing a ball player in the middle, however it doesn’t mean a complete lack of creativity. Eccles can pick a pass he just isn’t as good at that side as the other two (IMO), but he certainly has other strengths. Either way I’d expect to see him play more...

If this is the only plan in place for tonight it’s going to be carnage again. For all the positives and massive steps forward we’ve taken the last few years, this aspect is still so amateur. And before people moan, it isn’t as straightforward for people to just get there early. Especially on...

Don’t disagree. I should have been clearer re the sweeper keeper bit - while he’s better than Wilson distribution wise, overall he’s nowhere near what I was expecting when he was billed as being good with his feet etc. For example, he does that silly fake pass one too many times everytime so...

Yea I was 50/50. I know it’s pretty much accepted Collins is a step up from Wilson, and he probably is, but he honestly doesn’t convince me. His distribution frustrates me too, as I’m sure he was billed as a sweeper keeper type. I chose Wilson as he kept a clean sheet. I wouldn’t mind either...

Big, big game with direct play off implications, so strongest team needed. DaSilva v Bidwell is the big decision point for me, especially as they are likely to be up against a good attacking threat in Miller. I prefer when we play on the front foot and we look better when we play football...

    Simms

Anyone fancy changing their horrendous views on Simms yet? Or is he still not fancied as his celebrations haven’t been good enough? Or some other nonsense reason?

Not that bad tbh. Wilson is a bigger worry than Taveres due to the position he plays. I know he’s slated on here, and I appreciate he isn’t the answer, but really hoping Taveres shows something today.

FFS, forgot the team selection drama. We had a rare child free afternoon (and evening!) and I was heading to - and had agreement (!) - the local micropub with an iPad to watch the game. Even more of a treat as I’m on a health kick so not drinking much at the minute. However, babysitters...

Maybe for some, but not me. I hate the scapegoating of players. Objectively I don’t think he’s contributing enough. Yep, he got into two good positions on Wednesday which is a positive, but I don’t think they were particularly unique. Others would have made similar moves. I like Godden, his...

Weirdly looking forward to it. Variety is the spice of life and all that.

Biggest worry here is that means Godden starts. Rose and/or McNally will know more than anyone that they are in for a quiet afternoon. I like Godden, but he’s off form and not contributing enough.

    Transfer Rumour Ellis Simms

Simms is a good footballer and will become a big player for us. People made their minds up weeks ago that he wasn’t good enough and they won’t change them now. Give him a consecutive run of games and let’s see how he goes. I strongly suspect his form, confidence and performance will continue...

There’s certainly question mark defensively, but JDS is an asset offensively. His ability on the ball and technique in tight situations is great.

This will be hard to take it if we lose. They are good on the counter but we’ve been wasteful with the final ball and even post subs some bad decision making. Wright needs to back himself more around the box like he did on Sunday when he hit it first time.

How did that go in? Has to be a deflection surely? Otherwise it’s horrendous keeping.

How long until someone moans be scored first time? Simms will come good and be a big player for us. Although his celebration was shit tbf.
