    The bitterness...

Although watching us stay up by the skin of our teeth most seasons, it was still more exciting being in the top league, occasionally beating the “giants” in the league. And being able to get in and out of the ground without any issues…. ;) If we go up, I’ll miss the Wembley trips though ;)

    Does your wife/partner like football?

Took my wife around 1977 before we were married. Stood on the Kop. after 10 mins she wanted. Coffee, so went and got her that, then the loo. Of course she would never find me again so had to take her there and back. Then another coffee. Same for 2nd half. hardly saw the game, missed one goal...

the certificate has just arrived. @Bertola What do they say on them? Wondering if I should give it to him before the match or wait till afterwards. (don’t want to open it as it has his name on the card/envelope)

    Things that annoy you

Happened to me, I had to bully this oik to leave my reserved seat. He did eventually leave, mumbling and grumbling. thankfully neither he or I had heard the announcement saying reserved seats had been cancelled, until about 10 mins later. :D He never came back. Probably couldn’t reach me as...

Did he pick the ball up from outside the area? Looked it from my angle. Be odd if we had it happen twice.

    Redundancy

Yeah, it does suck. I worked for an American company in the late 80’s and they decided to let 200 of us go in the uk. (2 companies merged, and so there was too many peeps). Finished 31st Dec. Being on the market with about 30 people from similar roles wasnt fun. Took me 8 weeks to get hired...

    How’s the ref explain that!

The ref cocked up, I’ve already agreed with that.

    How’s the ref explain that!

Yeah, I know, but we should still be able to deal with it.

    How’s the ref explain that!

Ipswich Advantage? well, not much has affected our team this season, so probably not. 11 v 11 we still could have won. We just didn't. It's gone our way in a lot of games this season (eg missed tap in for Middlesboro to go 3-2). Cant complain when it doesnt go our way. And yes, the ref was...

    F1 2025

That’s your opinion, and that’s fine. I just can’t view someone who purposely knocks other drivers off the track to win, as the goat. I could add that Lewis has always had competitive team members (ref max), if he hadn’t, he would have had even more titles. fwiw, Stirling Moss is my goat, and...

    F1 2025

You see, more pole positions, more races won, proves he wasn’t driving a tractor. Red Bull got Max’s car to be better and faster than the McLaren for the 2nd half of the season. The gap they caught up was amazing, even considering their extra development. As mentioned, when he was under pressure...
