I’ve said before: my daughter is literally having national curriculum subjects not taught to her. With the school falling back on “we’re an academy we don’t have to follow the national curriculum”. But they openly admit it’s because they can’t find staff.
Who, of any political stripe, wants...
Yep, Bidwell, even Sheaf Howley and Eccles can all fill in in a pinch, or we go to four at the back. Lose Hamer and we have no creativity and drive, let alone goals and assists from any of those coming in.
Need a proper box to box midfielder we can blood this season on the assumption Gus is...
He can play WB, AM and possibly CM. And when O’Hare is back it’s him and Palmer like last season. If we want to play the box maybe add Allen in, but then you’d need four arguably.
I imagine he’s there to fight for a first team place, but equally he can play in several positions and is a handy player to have around. But equally I don’t agree with the idea of “starters” and “squad players”. We should have 20 or so players of similar ability ideally.
I think just because he...
We can’t just have eleven first team players. You could ask why have we signed Binks, why are we likely getting another CB and ST? Because we need to be able to rotate players and everyone to have proper competition to keep them on their toes.
Think I’d give as many of the new lads minutes.

Give Gus as much football as his injury needs.
I’ve never seen a coaching team get the best out of players like ours. The improvement players of all ages and ability levels have shown the last six years, plus the number that leave and never hit those heights again, is ridiculous.
If there’s a player in there we’l bring it out.
TBH the whole media approach to the Championship. They just don’t get what Championship fans want and think everybody is really dreaming of the PL and cares mostly about the relegated teams when actually that’s the least interesting bit of the league.
Heard someone say us going ahead was a...
I haven’t seen him. But you could see against Exeter that he was a bit rusty and not in sync with his team mates yet, and that his style was going to upset people who want a Gyokeres clone.
