    Strikers Who Came Good

Callum Wilson …. Deal agreed for him to leave to non league for a nominal fee before he got injured and the move fell through. not a signing I know but further evidence that some times strikers need time to establish themselves before they hit their true potential with a club.

5 At The Back Needs To Go

We don’t look fit. After 60 mins in most matches we look leggy and get deeper and deeper. Robins denied this after the match but it’s clear for all to see.

5 At The Back Needs To Go

Leicester are top and they play 5 at the back but the full backs are inverted when they attack. As per Man City. Both Man City and Leicester get their width from genuine wide midfielders hugging the Touchline rather than full backs pushing on. We could try this system if we had two genuine...

This will piss on a few people’s chips

This has been well documented already. I think the bigger concern is that we look someway off a decent team right now rather than the absolute points we have collected to date.

    Jack burroughs

I’d prefer he nail down the RWB at Lincoln than play multiple positions. He needs to come back having honed his craft in his best position as he won’t ever be our first choice LB or centre half

Pep explains why we are missing Hamer

    Agreed. He actually did both:

    Matty Godden

I don’t think fans are critical of Goddens movement or instincts. It’s the fact that he contributes next to nothing to the general play which makes it easy for teams to defend against us. We saw it last season when teams doubled up on Vik at the end of the season safe in the knowledge that...

    Matty Godden

I don’t rate Godden as highly as others but I agree you can’t drop him currently. The logic that we would have 1 point without him is bolllcks. Someone else would have played and probably scored, maybe less, maybe more, but to suggest that you just remove the goals is clearly illogical.

And why Kelly, Eccles, and Sheaf won’t work as a combo ….

I assume it’s healed over then …. He can clearly play as a winger. Are you new to the sport ?

    Dean Austin

If you decide to sell your house and someone makes you a better offer than you thought you would get you might accept and assume you will buy one of the other 3 houses you have had your eye on and can afford. However you get outbid for 1, the other fails the mortgage survey and the owner...

Godden has none of the attributes you need to play up top on your own ..:

The idea that the Director of Football is not accountable for transfer fees is more laughable. no one is under pressure yet but everyone will be if things have not improved over the next couple of months

We know they tried to sign midfielders. Swift was one. The worry for me is that if they had landed Swift he is still not the type of mix to box midfielder we are missing ….. he’s another 10, not an 8.

You are not seriously comparing Greaves to Godden are you ??

Palmer, Wilson, Fadz were all poor. Godden was anonymous but you can’t ignore his goal contribution.

Maybe if they had not wasted that 2 week break and instead they had focused on working on patterns of play and on field partnerships we may not have performed so horribly last night. I too would not give them the next 2 days off.

I seem to recall you were supportive of them having the first week of the 2 week international break off when others thought it was mad ?? We look like complete strangers on the pitch right now ….

Robins is a cautious manager. We are persisting with 5 at the back despite the fact we look wide open at the back, over ran in midfield and anonymous up front. It’s totally understandable because the system has served us well for many seasons but sometimes you have to be prepared to try...
