And if more than one of the outside bars could serve the Pale Ale that would be even better!

I know BTA scored a few but very please Sakamoto is back. Good starting line up. Expecting a tough game but a 2-0 win.

Thank God this is back. International breaks do nothing for me and this one is always compounded by the ending of the excitement of the transfer window. Even this place doesn’t scratch the itch. Bring on today!

    Transfer Rumour Miguel Ángel Brau

For all the things to be critical of JDS of, first touch is not one. By far one of the most technical players in the squad.

Transfer Rumour 25/26 Summer Transfer Window

There’s definitely some Mowbray season vibes with lots of bids being rejected - and players often ending up at bigger teams. The significant difference is that we’re starting from a strong position team wise. We won’t feel it in the first 11 (+3/4 subs) but after that we’re weak.

Forum Game; Every time the word ‘bet wetter’ is mentioned or implied we all do a shot. We’d be smashed by 17:45.

    Sheaf to Wrexham

I’m a big, big Sheaf fan and I’m sad to see him go. On his day he’s a top Championship player. Unfortunately those days were lessening due to his consistent injuries taking a toll and I don’t see how him and Grimes work together. Plus, £6.5m is a big number in the Championship. Some of the...

Transfer Rumour 25/26 Summer Transfer Window

Just caught up on the last 25 pages after being busy yesterday. Got so engrossed I missed two Teams meetings and my doorbell camera going off, twice. Not entirely sure it was worth it, to essentially learn we’ve sold Sheaf and highly likely but unconfirmed signed Woolfendon. Some of the WUM...

Transfer Rumour 25/26 Summer Transfer Window

Nothing to do with Hughes, as a standalone point I’m not massively enthused by Wolfendon. One solid season in the Championship, and a handful of games in the Premier League. Stats looks great for a ball playing CB, but not sure that’s the gap we need to fill. I’m by no means writing him off...

    Rushworth or Wilson

Rushworth has been disappointing. Came with a great reputation and off the back of a £5m rejected bid. So expectations were high and so far it’s a struggle to see why. Positioning, ability to command his box, shot stopping are all poor, and even his distribution - especially considering he’s a...

    How is Aled Williams employed?

Don’t really get the criticism. He can’t control poor in game decision making or made a players inherent ability worse. Basic mistakes are on individual players. Albeit those stupid 3/4 trousers he wears are tragic tbf.

    Oxford Ratings

Wright today exemplified why fans get frustrated with him. Unplayable, absolute (Championship) world beater first half. Didn’t fancy it second half. So anonymous, until he had a sitter and missed it.

Match Thread Oxford Utd vs Coventry City Saturday 30th August 3pm KO

There is no excuses for the subs thing. If players aren’t fit enough to come on and change the game, then don’t have them on the bench. It’s a waste of a space and invites criticism from fans too. Not personal to Lampard, loads of managers do it. But specifically today, he had KKH, Simms...

    Callum O'Hare

Bringing him on today when Torp reverted back to his horrendous default fitness levels would have made a big impact. Yea the way he left us was a bit shit, but no worse than Hamer.

Not read every post, but not sure people are losing their shit. Calling out poor performances, a keeper who has not covered himself in glory at all (and whom we were willing to pay £5m for) and a bizarre lack of changes is entirely justified. Doesn’t meant anyone is FL out etc etc etc.

Match Thread Oxford Utd vs Coventry City Saturday 30th August 3pm KO

It’s classic us, we’re either Brazil or shite. Second half, Wright and Torp anonymous, EMC/BTA poor and even Grimes was sloppy. Defence shaky with poor decision making. We’re an all or nothing team and it can’t be that way if we want play offs. Whether it’s motivation, fatigue, lack of...

Match Thread Oxford Utd vs Coventry City Saturday 30th August 3pm KO

I think he’s as fed up with his team mates as we are. He’s gone classic ‘I’m the best in the team, I’ll do it all myself’. Fair enough, as the rest have been shite this half.

Match Thread Oxford Utd vs Coventry City Saturday 30th August 3pm KO

Really, really don’t want to jump on the bandwagon, but that’s another gift of a goal. Silly free kick and the basics of not having a proper wall is absolutely horrendous. Still believe he’s an upgrade but he’s needs to get rid of his rustiness asap. He’s costing us goals again.

The one a few minutes ago was offiside, but what an unbelievable delivery it was tbf. MVE pushing forward heavily, which is fine, but it is leaving a shaky Thomas a bit exposed.
