    Give us a job...

Hi all, Sorry to have been a bit quiet over the summer - a lot going on, family bereavement, redundancy, getting even fatter etc. Anyway, it turns out that even a bloke with my vast technical skills and charming if overly-modest personality needs to work sometimes if he wants to eat. ;) On...

    Female Grimsby fans

We've been out-stewarded. Is there nothing that this club can win? ;) Joking apart this is incredibly shabby if true. I think that anywhere where search is a condition of entry should have the relevant laws posted by every turnstile, so that women and children are made aware of their rights...

Ah, nostalgia isn't as good as it used to be. :)

Match Thread Coventry City - Notts County Match Thread - Saturday 5th Aug

I'm on my hols with crappy internet so won't even be able to listen on the radio. I've got a feeling we're in for our first decent season for a long time though. If we win this one convincingly then I fancy us for 100 points, minimum. :)

    Bigi joins Motherwell

I'm sorry to see him go, mostly because he's a Cov kid and seems like a thoroughly decent type. I think he'd have been good for us next season - he'd started to make progress again, imho. His agent sounds like an arse though, and I think Bigi has been very poorly advised. I can't see him...

    Golf

Ah, golf. A good walk spoilt. I've had some analysis done on my swing, and apparently the problem is that I'm standing too close to the ball.... after I've hit it. :) (The old ones are always the best).

That's the best you can come up with? What pathetic rubbish. I've watched rugby in Cov for a long time, whilst you had no interest in it whatsoever until the franchise arrived and lined your grubby little pockets. You're an embarassment to yourself with your constant paid-for adverts for...

I hear what you're saying mate and it's not unreasonable in itself. However I'm not convinced that Wasps (or anyone else for that matter short of nation states) can keep rolling debt over in that way and not be punished/abandoned by the market. And again, this is peak Wasps - they've never...

It's everything to do with franchising. If Wasps had come here and built their own stadium I still wouldn't go because it would be morally wrong (in my opinion) to do so.

And I think it's sad that some people don't have a moral code beyond "franchising is OK as long as it doesn't happen to a team that I care about".

    32000 crowd

It was a great game, however to be a raging success commercially you'd expect it to be a sell out. At the moment Wasps show no signs of going after CRFC, indeed they've loaned them a few useful players this season to help out. However if Cov RFC ever get to a position to threaten them then...

    32000 crowd

The 'fact' is that Wasps didn't sell out for the biggest game in their history at the Ricoh. I'd say that I'm sorry if that offends you, but the truth is that I'm not. I can live with people going to watch them, it's undoubtedly a good day out. However the hypocrisy of those who claim to be...

Great game of rugby but patently not a sell out, which is surprising given it's the biggest game that Wasps have ever played at the Ricoh in terms of importance. It'll be nice for them to play in London for a change next week though. However, I doubt they'll be taking 43,000 from Cov down there...

    Bob Dylan

Probably my favourite Dylan track, is Isis. That probably gets me on a list somewhere these days, lucky I'm not going to the States anytime soon! I really like most of his stuff, but I went to his concert at the NEC a few years back and it was bloody awful. I don't think he wanted to be there...
