I’ll sound like Arsene Wenger but I couldn’t see it clearly from where I was. Looked marginal if he was outside although the reaction from 2,000 of you simultaneously suggested he was just outside. Surely you’re not suggesting that was a red though are you?

The atmosphere was better when we were crap and was excellent in our back to back promotion seasons. The sense of entitlement and maybe the morale sapping prem season where we won one only one home game seem to have taken their toll. The other factor is every game is now sold out, 23k or so...

It looked a foul from where I was but if it wasn’t then it was a booking. Ref was shocking, I’ve said that already. We were gifted an injury time penalty at Birmingham on the first day of the season, were on the right side of a key decision today but other than that I think we’ve been on the...

Nunez after he was fouled right under the ref’s nose?

You won’t believe me but a lot of it is the poor acoustics in the stadium. I can hear the away fans from where I am (directly opposite the away fans ) but if you’re in the North Stand (the end we were attacking second half) you can’t at all. It wasn’t loud today, the atmosphere this year has...

I don’t share your confidence. We’re unconvincing and when teams come to sit deep and play for a point we struggle. It’s just not clicking at all this season. We’re good when we get 2 goals ahead but so are most teams.

I’m a big fan of some of your away kits. The brown one from 79 (ish) was incredible to 8 year old me. The black and white two tone kit you wore in the game at PR just before Covid was lovely but I’m not having that one you had on today. Shocking!

The ref was poor. The standard of refereeing has been abysmal this season in most of our games. Every set of fans think decisions go against them more than for them but I’ll admit that today we had the rub of the green. He’d booked 6 players with less than an hour gone and there wasn’t a bad...

Maybe too soon and if you want me to I’ll quietly slope off. Yours is the only non-Ipswich forum I’ve ever posted on, I’m only back because you seem a really decent bunch. Firstly, you’re definitely going up. Today’s result doesn’t change that. I’ve had a quick look at the posts on here and am...

Stock falling with who? You won’t find many Ipswich fans who would want anyone else in charge. Back to back was a step too far. As for this season, a slow start but with almost a third new team in 3 seasons. McKenna will be judged in May not November but consecutive 4-1 away wins and 10 points...

No point asking me - we changed a whole team and got nowhere! Maybe that was the problem although Sunderland have done well with the same approach.

If we were them I’d be fuming but the game should have been abandoned at half time when it was 0-0. Sending off and pen both linked to the state of the pitch. Yes I’m biased, we’ve got lucky and now need to make it count.

It’s a free hit. We’d lost the game in September so to get another chance is a bonus. In fairness the pitch was a joke and played a big part in the goal (iffy penalty) and the sending off when it wasn’t possible to run properly through the puddles. Without wishing to sound cocky, I think we’ll...

The vast majority of fans are 100% behind McKenna. We had 20 years of decline before he came along and gave us 2 incredible seasons. It wasn’t just the promotions but the quality of football was incredible at times. Burns goal against you at PR was one of about 20 great goals we scored that...

We’ve got 7 games in December including Blackburn away that was abandoned with 10 to go and us a goal down and man down. It’s always an important month but this year seems particularly pivotal. The two games against you stand out as being particularly important. They should be good games.

Are you starting to really believe?

No, there’s nothing to indicate any pressure on McKenna from those making the decisions and never has been.

Our squad looks ridiculously strong for this league - Jack Clarke as an impact sub, Nunez an occasional starter, several £10m + players on the bench every game but the balance isn’t right, we lack an identity and have no idea what our best 11 is. I’m not being critical, just honest. Without...

More importantly you then followed it up with a win and after being a goal down.

Are you starting to really believe?

Yes I think we will. Whether it’s going to be enough is questionable. We badly lack a real leader (Morsy was the best captain we’ve had in decades, only Mills and possibly Butcher come close for leadership). We’ve got lots of great attacking players that are lovely to watch but we still lack a...
