I think what Grendel is trying to say (in his usual impatient, rude way) is that's a far too simplistic measure. Randy Lerner spent £250-£300m at Villa and still got hounded out by fans. So was he a fit and proper owner? Conversely, we're quite happy fans at the moment (regarding the team)...
