Agree with this. I think if/when he gets the pace and physicality of the league figured out he’ll be a good player, you’ve seen flashes of it. Just seems very raw right now.

Id drop him for O’Hare once he’s fit, unless we go to the box, which I hope we don’t do because we have three strikers scoring. I think he’s useless at DM however.

It’s one game. I think it would be a shame to lose Allen from the ten role when he’s made such a difference there last two games. At least this way you’ve still got someone out of position but IMO you’ve not got as much of a drop for Saka at WB compared to Ayari at AM.

Norwich is a free hit for me. Just got to get through that and hopefully we’ve turned a corner injury wise.

Allen is great between the defence and midfield lines of the opponent. And nicking in to grab the ball off someone. Less so in a more static holding role. On showings so far he starts ahead of Ayari in the 10 role for me.

He’s been on for about ten minutes and was running less than Godden. I don’t understand it at all. We all like to slack off at work but not with 20k customers and the entirety of management watching! Like even if you’re shit you can run about for twenty minutes.

I thought there was some issue with the length of the platform or something? Some ridiculous excuse. City the size of ours should have a proper mass transit system that goes to places like the CBS, UoW, and UHCW.

It wasn’t the midfielders that kept handing the ball to their strikers and generally looking like keystone cops when the balls bouncing around out area.

Still don’t understand how we’ve spent £20m and the best players are Godden, Kelly, Eccles, Allen, and Wilson and the dodgiest bit is probably our defence.

It was disjointed and we looked more like the away side doing a smash and grab than the home side. But new team needs wins to breed confidence and cohesion so I’ll take it all day long. Limp through Norwich then hopefully we’ve got a few key players back and the season can actually start.
