There are not many examples of players converting to great strikers midway through their career…. There are some but they tend to be wide players who were strikers in their youth, pushed out wide when they broke into the first team but moved back to the centre as their physique developed.

I agree with much of this. It’s not helped by the fact Thomas and Kitch are poor on the ball and teams are happy to alllw them to have it. It forces Grimes back further and leaves a little isolated in the centre of midfield. Passing the ball with pace is important but it doesn’t mean you don’t...

Well this squad was good enough to get in the play offs this year so if we kept entirely the same squad ( which we won’t ) there is no reason to believe it couldn’t next.
