I I think this is a little over simplistic …. He’s contracted to us, getting better, and we don’t need to sell him particularly if another significant player is sold. The club won’t sell him on the cheap.

I would also add Pace and distribution to that list …. It’s why Grimes comes so deep because we can’t trust the back 2 to play out from the back and it’s why Milan is less attacking than he was as we need his recovery pace to cover Thomas and Kitchin.

Eccles has potential but he hasn’t played to it under Lampard. One of the few midfielders not to have taken a step up in level. I exclude Sheaf from that simply based on his fitness levels.
