    Some Manager Names

These are the Manager odds for the vacant Brum job. Anybody in this lot worth a go / would join us? Gary Rowett 3/1, Owen Coyle 4/1, Brian McDermott 8/1, Chris Hughton 8/1, Tony Mowbray 12/1, Paolo Di Canio 14/1, Billy Davies 16/1, Dougie Freedman 16/1, Mike Phelan 20/1, Aidy Boothroyd...

    Time for SP to go..

I think Waggot does give good support to be fair and even though SISU are lunatics they cannot be held responsible for the tactics on the pitch.

    Time for SP to go..

As said before, cannot see any positives nor hope. Outplayed week after week by teams with similar budgets and resources. Football not even entertaining. Sorry SP, it's time to do the decent thing.

    Ched Evans

35 goals in his last season at this level.

    Ched Evans

Ched Evans about to released from prison. Big petition up in Sheffield for him to NOT be allowed to re-sign for Sheffield United. Oddly, they had Marlon King on the books recently. Evans maintains his innocence (unlike King) and has put his reasons why (quite eloquently tbf) on his website...

    DJ Campbell anyone?

To be fair, Huckerby did have D Dublin leading the line so he could run in from deep. I wonder if SP will ever learn basic TACTICS such as that- reading LVG and Mourinio books isn't working.

We are poor and so is our manager

He had the excuse of always playing "away" and "not his team" and "uncertainty" and so on. The bottom line is, it's his team now and I just cannot see any real prospect of progress or hope for the future. We held on with Thorn too long on a similar basis and look what happened. Action is best...

    DJ Campbell anyone?

Good stats at Ipswich too. Came into the pro game late, may have had the ability to play the offside trap properly coached INTO him. (Wouldn't happen here!)

We are poor and so is our manager

So we have the 8th biggest budget and one of the best academy set ups. The team is underachieving and on that basis we need to look at the Manager.

    DJ Campbell anyone?

Even if he bellyflopped on to the pitch he would have more impact than Conor Thomas

    DJ Campbell anyone?

Just seen that DJ Campbell is playing for free at level 6 of the pyramid (to get his love for the game back). Not many months ago was doing quite well in the Champ before being accused of match fixing. Cleared in August this year. 32, but started late in the professional league (players...

CCFC should buy Cov Rugby Club

At the moment the a Ricoh is too big for us and the Butts is too small. The Rugby club Wasps may well end up with the Ricoh. (They may not want to keep sky blue seats btw). If the Wasps do end up there, it is inevitable that some local fans of either CCFC or CRFE may have a look and may...

CCFC should buy Cov Rugby Club

Nightmares not intended, duffer, but sorry in any case! Part of my point was that combining the two clubs may make it easier for a SISU exit. SISU'S plan always was to buy the club and then sell it on for a profit (unlucky). Their new plan is to sell it on for the least loss (one...

CCFC should buy Cov Rugby Club

Fwiw it's a 125 year lease. Whatever stands are built be they at a new ground or the butts (or even the existing Ricoh) will not have a use life that long.

CCFC should buy Cov Rugby Club

The Brandon story may be credible. In any case, be it the Ricoh, Butts or Brandon; it seems daft to only use a multi-million pound facility 20 odd times per year when it is proved that double that is doable without ruining the pitch. A joint rugby and association football ground is just sensible.

Conor Thomas must be dropped from SP's starting 11

I agree with the OP. Some players excel at youth and then don't make it (Franny Jeffers comes to mind). Or go off the rails (Kevin Thornton). Thomas hasn't progressed as expected for whatever reason and is not (in current form) the right man for this team.

CCFC should buy Cov Rugby Club

I guess it depends on the length of the lease. A 100 year lease is as good as freehold sometimes.

CCFC should buy Cov Rugby Club

Following in from the Butts thread and the Wasps debacle, it may be that if SISU had any business brains (which they don't) they could put the cat amongst the pigeons and buy Coventry RFC. On a purely hypothetical basis, it could actually work. Bramall Lane, Meadow Lane, the KC stadium...
