    Wing backs

I think 4-3-3 could be a viable option for CCFC.

Preston, not sure about Sheff U, did pull in an above average crowd for a midweek game.

    points of concern

I guess you'd say the same about Barcelona, or, because I know people will say 'we're not Barca', Swansea, Leon Britton went from getting relegated with Sheff U, to having a better pass % than Xavi!
  4. Mucca Mad Boys

    points of concern

He's changed as a footballer since then so has had to adapt his game. Decent footballers, as 4-4-2 and triangular passing do not go together, the very tactic all of best teams, and why 4-2-3-1 came from 4-4-2. BTW, I mean footballers, not hoofballers (or 'kick and rush' players), cannot play...

Not a fashionable game to go to is it, I didn't even try to get time off work for that one. Crewe was a good game for some neutrals who wanted to go to a football game of importance, for a £5 it is good money. What I didn't mention was that there was a desire of SOME of the people I know...
  6. Mucca Mad Boys

    points of concern

Your point on Sheff is interesting, I agree he can't play in 4-4-2, like the vast majority in our team hence why we are impotent when playing it, but he's only scored 1 goal this season, v Pompey and hasn't scored as many as expected and I'm unsure if he deserves to start tbh.

To think everyone who went actually supports Cov is wrong, a few rugby lads I know and lads from school who don't even like football, let alone CCFC went. £5, you CAN'T go wrong, even with hindsight.

He Scored Yesterday -- get him back and get Clarke out!!!!!!

How incorrect is that statement! He doesn't have good control, and was no where near as good in the air or holding it up as Juke who was smaller and less physically imposing. Clarke can finish, scores goals, Platt doesn't! Delusional pal. Clarke League 2 at best!? He's the top...

He Scored Yesterday -- get him back and get Clarke out!!!!!!

I reject that notion. He had less than 1 shot per match and less than 0.5 shots on target, with a grand total of 1 assist last season. Impotent is the word. EDIT: has 17 shots in 26 games in L2, scoring 4, with 3 assists - in League 2! Shows how shit we were last season to have him starting.

So what will it be next week?

I never said he doesn't, I said he has limitations, because he does, v pace, we're fucked, but he is a solid defender, yesterday he put got good tackles in and doesn't get bullied aerially like Edj does, and he scores a few goals a season. Edj isn't a better defender than Wood. Period. If...

He Scored Yesterday -- get him back and get Clarke out!!!!!!

Why!? Because he is shit and his productivity was minimal - even in L2! Only 'kick and rush' fans could half like this guy as a footballer, no place for players like him in the modern game.
  12. Mucca Mad Boys

So what will it be next week?

Wood is better than Edj hands down, Wood has his limitations, pace etc. but Edj gets turned inside out every game (slight exaggerated), gets bullied in the air and offers nothing aerially going forward. Wood holds his own and is a solid defender - with limitations. In what way is Edj better...

    For Preston read Yeovil?

Doesn't help the Ref was inconsistent yesterday, for both sides.

    With and Without DMC

We are crossing the ball too much instead of our wingers cutting in to shoot etc.

    Mark Robins aftermatch interview

We've got the League's top goalscorer! If it was that simple I'm sure every team would have a Lineker who can score for fun!

    Carl Baker

Agreed, if Edj weren't such a legend on twitter, communicating really well with CCFC fans, he'd be the 1st player to be criticised. Probably a fact.

    Goals under robins

    We can dream!?

    Goals under robins

I've said this on another thread, but oh well. It was going to be a struggle without McG, we all thought Clarke couldve done something, but we are struggling because we are changing our successful model to suit Clarke.

    4-4-2 advocates

I think you need to look in mirror pal, you were the claiming 'we need to play 2 upfront' in such a prophetic manner, well, you were wrong, because 4-4-2 hasn't done anything yet! Have we scored more than 2 whilst playing it? Off the top off my head, no. Fleck did well, but as usual, you'd...

    New Striker

Lets bring in a striker who hasn't scored a league goal yet for a striker who has 4 in 7!? Such logic. Wood was better than Edj today, Edj doesn't aim his headers or passes, gave the ball cheaply too many times to keep track, Wood was solid, made some good tackles, but again, nether are great...
