CCFC deny handing out free tickets

Clearly there are free tickets, it's just a question of whether theres a significant increase in the number or proportion of free tickets now over previous seasons at the Ricoh. I was asked if I wanted a ticket through a NTFC sponsor I have dealings with occasionally, not 100% sure if they were...

Glad I don't live in SBT world

Strange if they've been told that given that only a couple of months ago Fisher was telling us we were at 'the bottom of the cycle'

    Joy Sepalla to meet MEP

what's this all about? why would she be doing that if her aim is to get Coventry back at the Ricoh?

Right, let's get all this out the way

So why is Fisher not all over the radio and telegraph telling ACL to offer the 150K deal to Otium and they'll take it? When he was on CWR and was questioned on the offer he tried playing the 'it was offered to the administrator card' but when pushed to say if they would accept the same deal...

    Attendance at Ricoh today?

somewhere on the council website there's a document about the Ricoh and it states parking restrictions to be put in place for any event where a crowd over a certain size is expected (think it's 10K off the top of my head).

    Preston Match Thread

hard to tell from the pics on twitter but the main stand looks around the same (busy in the middle then thinning out as you go towards the goal lines), the 'home' end behind the goal looks like there's less than before and PNE have a lot less than Bristol.

    Preston Match Thread

it's a really odd matchday when you're just following on twitter and on here. I can't remember the last time I've been in the country and not either at the game or listening to CWR.

    Preston Match Thread

If I was in Fishers job and the crowd today doesn't turn out to be substantially bigger I'd be very worried. Decent enough weather, bank holiday weekend, couple of good results and no legends game should all add up to a much bigger turn out than the first home game. If it isn't I'm not sure...

    Preston ticket sales

was the stand opposite the main stand open for the first game? isn't for this one by the looks of it, how long before they close the stand behind the goal and move all the home supporters into the main stand?

    How many tickets?

Depends how you view it. If you view it as a proportion of the total crowd then the number of free tickets has shot up massively. the point people are making I think is that 500 either way on 10K plus attendances is not giving anyone a different impression of how many people are actually paying...

Ribbons binned over driver safety fears

you don't need to do that, all you do is put FACT in capital letters at the end of the sentence, can't be disputed then!

    New Stadium

I can see them buying some land, they can buy it, hold onto it and sell it later with little money (in the grand scheme of things) lost. They may even come up with some plans and put an application in, you can probably get plans 'off the shelf' on the cheap if you don't care too much what you're...

    New Stadium

you can't refuse planning permission on the basis that there's an empty stadium. as for the other things they will apply in any location outside of Coventry. they won't try and put in an application in Coventry and I don't believe for a minute they intend to build a stadium at all but for SISU...

    Human rights

you might have more luck getting someone who is disabled, and can't physically get to Sixfields, to open a case claiming discrimination. as far as I'm aware the club have made no effort to reach out to fans in that situation and offer them any assistance in getting to Sixfields.

    How many tickets?

there are tickets you would expect to be given away, players families, sponsors (not that we've got one but I assume they have), it maybe that NTFC sponsors have access to free tickets. It's not that difficult to work out if you look on the ticket selling system there looks to be around 500...

    Food For Thought

mentioned this before, may be unlikely but if this time next year we're in the championship and they're in non league will Cardoza still see it as a good deal for NTFC? Of course their hardcore fanbase will continue to go but the more casual fans and the neutrals (students etc) may well make the...

Ribbons binned over driver safety fears

seems the highways agency acted after the ribbons were reported to them, surely SISU aren't that petty are they?

    New Stadium

the whole 'it's can't be in Coventry because the council won't let it happen' argument has never stacked up for me. can't remember off the top of my head but I did look it up and it can be fairly easily taken over the level of the council and there's also rules councils have to follow when...

    Telegraph response to Northampton advertisement...

the trust wristbands aren't for charity but they are making a donation from the money they received selling them at the legends charity game. As has been posted the FPA, who put the game on, suggested the trust keep the money for the fighting fund but the trust have elected to still make a...

    Preston ticket sales

think you'll find around 400 of those have been given away free. around 500 have actually been sold (inc season tickets). so add in late sales, walk up and away fans and you may get more than the first game but I would have thought SISU would be expecting a massive jump. there's not going to be...
