If his confidence is low it's puzzling why. He had a very decent 2nd half of the season, scored in an FA cup semi and scored against his old Premiership club pre season.

We're not in the premier league, we're in the Championship, so we need people who can coach effectively in the championship, and I think it's indisputable that he did a good job on that front.

To be fair, I'm not one of those people but I am saying it this season. I think we'll struggle to turn it around.

Personalty I'm looking purely at our 4 league games this season and I'm concerned with what I've seen.

Do we have the players for it? BTA up front with Simms? Dasilva LWB? Where would Wright, Saka or EMC fit in?

I don't agree we're stronger, we're stronger in certain areas, but that is a weak as piss midfield and ultimately, that's where games are won and lost and we've been over ran by Stoke, Bristol and Norwich 2nd half yestersay, 3 decidedly average teams.

If you look at every past early season bed wetting thread on here I've always remained optimistic, argued against the naysayers, pointed out the reasons for my optimism and, ultimately, Ive been proven to be right. But I don't have that this season, I've nothing to cling to other than Robins...

I didn't compare him to the average championship midfielder, I compared him to our midfield 2nd half yesterday. They were several notches below average.

I defended him when he was playing badly because I think people underestimated the affect of his injury. Of course no one can prove either way that that was the reason behind his poor form But O'Hare at his worse was still light years,ahead of anything that midfield had to offer yesterday.

Agreed. But he didn't hide and still got stuck in. Which is always a good sign in a player who's suffering a loss of gorm/confidence.
