I doubt Boddy even has the power to do that. Also, a party wouldn’t offer to pay the other’s legal fees if they feel they’ve been wronged by the other parties dealings. That infers they’re in the wrong by doing so. On the flip side, why is it ok for Wasps to essentially blackmail us into...

    Open Letter to Supporters

The council’s statement was pretty troubling, they genuinely seem indifferent to the fate of Coventry City and worse, doesn’t seem to acknowledge their role in this farce. The council, politicians and owners of CCFC benefitted from the sale of Highfield Road. Which tied us to building the RICOH...

The optimistic side of me thinks we’ll win this game. We were the better side in the cup game and hopefully changes made will be positive and we get a good result. A draw wouldn’t be shabby at all.

    Fury v Wilder

See your point, but given that both fighters have won all but 1 of their fights via KO, you’d have to give the edge to Joshua because he’s a better boxer with similar KO power. The guy knocked down Klitschko twice and finished him. You can’t really call a Fury v Wilder 80% in Fury’s favour. He...

    Fury v Wilder

We’re all primitive in the sense we want to see two combatants have an all out war! I want to see blood, knockdowns and brutal KOs as a spectator of boxing and MMA. But, that’s hardly a long-term solution. Being a regular listen of the JRE podcast, he details how people’s ‘chins’ just start to...

    Fury v Wilder

Slightly harsh on Klitschko there! He is an all-time great with 53 KO’s. It’s a shame the rematch didn’t materialise because the first was, in the words of Fury himself, a ‘snooze fest’. Klitschko just couldn’t suss Fury out, so a second bout certainly would’ve been an interesting spectacle...

    Fury v Wilder

On the flip side, Joshua has more power than Fury so could well make Wilder pay if Joshua outboxes him. I didn't like Fury (and his entourage) in the past, as he had a bit of a reputation as a bit of a troublemaker around Lancaster, and I worked doors there whilst at uni. Thankfully didn't have...

Frankly, I’m happy we have a week breather! Hopefully Sunderland batter Walsall for us in time for next Saturday!

    Doyle!

I don’t think he’s the issue per se. At 37, to be playing week in, week out and is/was leading the league in ‘progressive’ passing shows his influence goes under the radar. However, this said, he’s been partly responsible for the goals in our last 2 home games. In my view, it’s because we have...

Yes, and the time to judge them will be after a season of two, not half a season. Also, when you’re 9th in the table, you’d be inclined to say at this moment, it’s more ‘success’ than ‘failure’.

    Coventry City Top Scorers

Seems to imply that we’re doing well, only 3pts off where we were last season. When we finished in the playoffs. As a fan base, we’re overly negative. With one of the youngest teams in the division, we’re 9th and 5pts off the playoffs. Yet for the last month, all you hear is how we’ve signed...

Disagreed. We create clear cut goal scoring chances but we haven’t been taking them. With that in mind, there’s only so much you can blame on the manager. Chaplin’s misses v Sunderland and Fleetwood, or JCH’s miss v Pompey, and Thomas’ miss v P’boro (to name a few) are down to individual errors...

    Coventry City Top Scorers

We’re 9th, what ‘problems’ are there to speak of? In the last 10 games we’ve lost 3 games. We went on a great run and now we’re dipping, which is natural. This team is very much a work in progress, and the phrase ‘Rome wasn’t built in a day’ springs to mind. We’ve got a talented young team...

The reason it's known as a 'curse' us because good runs don't last forever, especially when, at the time, you're a lower mid-table side. I'd take the two home draws against playoff quality opposition, and in fairness those are two tough away games. It really isn't as bad as some are making it.

You regularly bring up this point over and over. Constantly comparing JP and Chaplin, to what end? I’m aware he’s scored 4 goals from 6 starts, a fact you’ve regurgitated several times. Firstly, it’s such a small amount games, it’s irrelevant. Secondly, two of those goals against non-league...

It’s doable, looking st our results against the top 6 suggests that. However, to have playoffs as a minimum expectation is totally unrealistic. That was the salient point. The lack of patience with this young team is astounding. Some people just aren’t seeing the bigger picture at all.

In what way is struggling? He’s consistently one of our best players on the pitch. He’ll score at least 10 goals this season. To get more out of him, we need to cross the ball more, it’ll probably get more out of Chaplin too.

    Video Fleetwood v Coventry

With the space we gave them, they should’ve scored. Both players had no one around them with plenty of time. The fault is 100% on the defence. The second was a good pass which split us open, but the first... giving an ex-prem player that much space in the box is criminal.

24th in L1 and relegation to 10th in less than 2 years suggests you’re talking nonsense. Considering the last 10-15 games have been difficult, we’ve done v well. We’ve invested in young players because it seems for once, we actually have a medium to long term plan.
