what will you do next season ???

Sounds very familiar. I have never been to so few games and I will probably go to even less next season. A lot of my time used to revolve around being a supporter, the first thing I would do in the morning would be check for any news. Would rush home on Friday for the phone in. Weekends were...

trouble brewing - future football league sanctions?

It has never been clear to me why the delay is liquidating the old Ltd company led to a delay in making this payment. It was a condition of Otium being issued the share that this was paid, Otium is, technically, a different company to one being liquidated so shouldn't they have just got on and...

    A New Chairman !!

When Sepalla became a bit more public and did the interview in the CET I though she might get shot of Fisher and put all the blame onto him. Easy way to move things forward really, just say the way he was behaving was not in line with SISU and she wants to talk with CCC and / or ACL. Think the...

    Fascinating interview

I think another issue is we pay so much attention to what is going on with our club and the discussions around it we know all about everyone disagreeing. You don't tend to hear that about other clubs as we don't pay that much attention to them and just get the bigger picture. Having lived...

what will you do next season ???

If you're making the argument that distance is a factor wouldn't you need to account for how far away a ground is? Stands to reason that if distance is a critical factor the further away the bigger the impact. You would also have to account for ticket availability, have any of our away games...

    few thoughts and other stuff

This is the problem isn't it, as a club we can't operate in isolation from everyone else and it seems pretty much every other club are losing money by overspending on players. Even if the debt was written off and the Ricoh given to us for free how would we ever get above, at best, championship...

Murph will take paycut, but no offer yet

Doesn't seem good management by the club to have not even have made an offer yet. Not like we're going to get anyone else in. The earlier they start this sort of thing the more time there is to get it sorted and lower risk of the player or agent getting fed up of waiting around and moving elsewhere.

Take Us Home! rally: 1pm, Sat 10 May, Council House, Earl St, Cov

For it to work SISU would have to purchase the 50% stake owned by Higgs which they seem prepared to sell. Then they would need to purchase the 50% owned by the council which obviously they council would have to agree to. Once they own 100% of ACL they can do pretty much what they want in terms...

Take Us Home! rally: 1pm, Sat 10 May, Council House, Earl St, Cov

Something like that would work, once they've got the lease it would be up to SISU if they wind up ACL or not. The best thing for the campaign would be to get someone from the SISU side to confirm they would be agreeable to this. I suspect there would be a lot more support if it was clearly...

    Pressley Quote

Will never happen but there have been a few comments dropped throughout the season that give a good indication that the players aren't too happy playing at Sixfields in front of small crowds. Lots of comments about it being like pre-season, understand why the fans stay away etc.

Why dont the sky blues trust take on the Ricoh tenacy and sublet it to Coventry City

I'll give them £20 every couple of weeks in return for a ticket.

    Why should CCC help?

There would certainly be more people there than if they play another season at Sixfields. I'm sure some would stay away until SISU go at which point they'll either return or find some other excuse not to go. I have no problem with SISU having the leasehold for the Ricoh, even if they are given...

Reasons not to push for an independent mediator and/or arbitrator

Would you even be able to enforce a decision? Lets say CCC are told to sell the freehold for x amount. What happens if the council then go no we're not selling or SISU say we aren't paying that much?

    Why should CCC help?

There's various ways of looking at this. There is the possibility that CCC think their current strategy is helping CCFC. They may feel that passing the stadium to SISU, whether paid for of free of charge, is a big risk as SISU may 'pull a fast one'. They may feel they have bailed the club out...

Labovitch calls for independent ACL valuation

Depends what business your buying really. If the business is to sit alongside existing businesses you own then it has a value to you and you offer based around that. Most likely it is based on a combination of how much you think its worth and how much it would cost you to start the business...

Labovitch calls for independent ACL valuation

Not really, they offer what they think it is worth or what they are prepared to pay. If they are uncertain on some issues then they make the offer conditional and of course no sale goes through until due diligence is complete. Happens all the time in business. If SISU want to buy this is the way...

Coventry Jets Home Game at the Butts.

With hockey you learn to follow the flow of the game after a while so you kind of know where the puck is even if you can't actually see it! On American TV a few years back they added a trail to the puck to make it easier for people to see, it looked ridiculous and didn't last too long.

Mondays Player / manager meeting thread

Given that SP said next seasons squad would be 11 pros and 11 from the academy how many of the current squad are under contract next season? Will he be needing to offload players we have contracted?

Should ACL show Wembley how to make a profit?

Sixfields opened in the mid 90s didn't it so hard to make a comparison on constructions costs which was my point. I can't see where the huge costs of building Wembley come from compared to building the Ricoh. In fact structures such as the Ricoh and Wembley, being 'bowl' type stadiums are...

Should ACL show Wembley how to make a profit?

I really don't see that much of a difference. I go through an automated turnstile the same as at the Ricoh, onto a concourse serving the same crap overpriced food and beer (if you're prepared to wait hours) the same as at the Ricoh and I then go and sit on a cheap plastic seat for a couple of...
