In or around Coventry....does it matter?

Chances are any site they pick for a stadium will have the same problems. Has any stadium ever flown straight through the planning process? Can't be many if any at all exist. And of course fairly early on in the process it goes above CCC. Again this would be an easy way for SISU to get...

    SISU lost the club £4M

It would be interesting to see a breakdown of ticket sales to arrive at a £10 a ticket average. Given we struggle to even publish accounts I doubt that info is available. If you work on the basis that only JSB, OAP and complimentary tickets come in at less than £10 and a lot of single match...

    Renting Vs Ownership

Exactly right but the problem is our owners insist ownership is the only viable option and dismiss a long leasehold.

There's two ways off looking at it. One is that Higgs were doing us a favour and should therefore get back what they put in. The question was asked why they were asking for more than the original price, a possible reason for this is to account for inflation. The second way would be selling...

If you account for inflation then to get back what they put in Higgs would need to sell for £8.7m.

In or around Coventry....does it matter?

Is that a serious question? It's been explained over and over again why stadium ownership is not required. In short stadium ownership does not give SISU access to a single penny of extra revenue. Ownership of ACL, or ownership of the lease, gives access to revenues,

They have but repeating something that is factually incorrect a thousand times doesn't magically make it correct.

Not a speedway fan but a quick google shows that the Bees were founded in 1928 which is coincidentally around the time Brandon was built. It appears they did stage some races in the city at a greyhound track, funnily enough close to where the Ricoh is now, but it seems that for pretty much...

    Renting Vs Ownership

You're going yo have to explain this to me as I'm not getting it. We are currently losing millions every year, let's say £5m. If we increase turnover but have no increase in profit how do we: a) achieve break even (or reduce losses)? b) increase the playing budget under FFP without...

    Renting Vs Ownership

SISU tell us the club is losing millions a year, according to you to resolve this we don't need profits just increased turnover?!? Do you actually understand the difference between profit and turnover?

Did you copy and paste that from Joys piece in today's program? How does owning the ground give you anymore revenue than owning the lease? Given that the FL replied to that chap doing his Uni project that the majority of clubs don't own their own ground will we be seeing huge numbers of clubs...

You've forgotten to factor in the £10m a year pie profit

If we were moving somewhere just outside the city for a valid reason I wouldn't really have an issue with it. However at the moment there doesn't appear to be valid reason for not playing in the city so I don't support playing out of it, either at Northampton or a new stadium. If SISU can come...

And there's the problem in a nutshell. Any solution where they pay market value for anything is never going to get SISU their money back and lets face it they're never going to make millions off running a football club.

Ex-councillor Brian Patton to stand v Ann Lucas on Get Cov Back to the Ricoh platform

Not sure why that is as it's discussed on here regularly, here's one recent post on the subject

Seems odd, that allocation is the whole of the stand behind the goal which they sold out weeks ago. Looking at pictures on twitter they've also opened the East Stand for them, I guess for those with tickets in the home end and / or those paying on the day.

As bad as our defence has been at times this season I think we could manage to keep it under 20!
