    Next Seasons Confirmed Squad/Transfer Rumours

It doesn’t mean a lot because he won’t be fit until the autumn anyway. We have to plan our squad as if he isn’t coming back. If JJ can work his way to fitness and make some good appearances (as he was doing) then he’ll make his way back in the team.

I disagree, we need to keep Bayliss as he’s still one of our best players. He’s only going to improve and frankly, has a lot more about him than Stevenson. We should only consider selling if a team threw stupid money and a loan back option.

    Just f*ck off Burge!

Ended the season on a right stinker!

    Bright Enobakhare

When it comes to signing him on a contract, yes. But, doesn’t mean his agent can’t talk to various clubs.

    Bright Enobakhare

His agent is probably talking to a lot of clubs, and he’s entitled to do so. Bright is 21, I really hope he sees us as the best place for his development!

    Bright Enobakhare

Looks surprisingly good for us and it’d be a massive coup! Bright seems to have his head screwed on, he was saying wherever he ends up, he needs to be playing. If he stays and destroys League 1 next season, he either helps us into the Championship or he earns a move to their or Premiership. It...

    Goal margins/Goalscoring

Robins upped that figure to 30 post-Portsmouth game and Thomas himself took to Twitter to apologise for his misses v Pompey and over the season. A classy touch, but pretty much sums up his season. Even P’borough at home he missed a 1v1 before we went 1-0 down... I really like this player but...

    Goal margins/Goalscoring

I don’t disagree that Robins is cautious, I like that. But that particular game is a really bad example as we had the chances to score 5-6 goals and he didn’t make the sub to waste time.

    Player of the Season Vote

Kelly for me, he’s going to be really important next season. Bright has certainly been our ‘game changer’ since he’s come in. Willis and Hyam as a unit have been key, I hope the former resigns!

    Hummell

I closely link Hummel with Villa kits, so naturally, I’m not a fan of this initially! Nike did a good job, and hopefully Hummel can continue to make a nice kit!

    Bright Enobakhare

That’s our best sales pitch, if he resigns I think he’s going to score about 15+ goals and can earn a blockbuster move that way. This is clutching at straws though.

    Bright Enobakhare

I’d be very surprised if he resigns, he’s been too successful in his loan spell! He probably only stays if we throw money at him and Robins really sells the club and convinced him we can get promotion. As other people pointed out, we’ve got to cling on to his comments that he feels ‘at home’...

    Targets for Next Season

Our number one priority is to keep Mark Robins. I trust he’ll sign the right players to take us to the next level.

    Jones > Thomas

No, just apologised on Twitter... I imagine a game like that is frustrating for him as well as us!

    Jones > Thomas

To be fair to Thomas, he’s straight up apologised for today and all the other chances he’s missed over the season. I rate the humility that took.

    Ratings

Enjoyed watching the game today, I thought we did well against a very good team away from home. We shouldn’t have lost that game, but we did because Portsmouth were more clinical than us. That’s why they’re 2nd and we’re 8th. Burge, 4 - shaky all game really. Sterling, 6 - did well on both...

Match Thread Portsmouth vs. Coventry City Match Thread - Monday 22nd Apr

You’re right, O’Brien as an example! A few people felt he was going to be a good GK after his first couple of games (myself included). An experienced GK, like Stockdale, seems like a logical choice because we have such an inexperienced side. The more leaders we can add, the better.
