    Maybot has crashed

It’s been obvious since Xmas that this was going to happen. Ironically, May probably would’ve been better off calling an election after the first Parliamentary defeat on her deal. The Brexit Party and Lib Dem vote will press a lot of Tory voters in their seats.

Equally, Parliament is set on blocking a ‘no deal’ too. Hammond on the BBC said a PM who makes ‘no deal’ government policy will struggle to keep the confidence of Parliament. I tend to agree with that assessment.

    FACT

You’re right, but had we got a 10pt deduction it’s pretty safe to say we would’ve got relegated. Personally, I’m of the opinion we were destined for L1 at one point, which wasn’t necessarily a bad thing given the success of Norwich, Sheff U, Leicester, Southampton, Bournemouth and so on... I’m...

    FACT

Would have got relegated the years they took over, given that we survived that season on GD.

    Chaplin to Salford?

His goal scoring record wasn’t that bad, slightly better than 1 in 4. At 21, he can be developed so it would be foolish to let him go unless we got a silly money offer for him. I expected more from him and he’s missed a few good chances, but that applies to just about all of our players last...

    New Keeper signed! Marko Marosi

Funnily enough, I’ve met the bloke, and he he was shorter than me. I’m not even 6”1. He’s listed as 1.8m on the club website, which is 5”11.

    New Keeper signed! Marko Marosi

Why did anyone think signing a keeper from a top 6 club was going to come in as 2nd choice? I like this signing, seems like a good shot stopper, and hopefully more commanding and less error prone than Burge.

Where does the blame truly lie?

No one party is to ‘blame’, all 3 parties are to blame for where we’re at now. If you care about the club, solely blaming SISU won’t help.

Remember when people said ‘all SISU have to do is drop the legals’... Yet here we are!

Nope. You’re not allowed to try and estimate what we spent last summer!

That’s the issue though, chances we’ll get 30 games out of him is slim! We need durable players and that means having a contingency if Kelly gets injured. Side note: if only Kelly had Doyle’s durability!

    Yep, I meant 6 figures.

I agree on Bakayoko, but a 6 figure sum is pretty vague and could mean anything from £100k to £999k. Chaplin, however, a highly rated 21 year old striker who we spent the whole summer trying to sign after selling a player for £1.25m, I don't think is so far fetched. We paid a sign on fee to beat...

We know Chaplin cost about £500k, Hiwula cost a 6 figure sum, and Bakayoko too, if reports are true. That's over half of McNulty's fee off the bat without considering anything else.

    Ajax

By that logic we can't compare the Finnish premier league to our Premiership. Which is stupid. UEFA have their coefficients and rank leagues accorrdingly, how do you think they allocate Champions League spots? The Premiership has been in the top 2 with La Liga for pretty much the whole time...

When you work out what we paid for Chaplin, Hiwula and Bakayoko, that sounds about right. Ogogo had a massive sign on fee and we signed pretty much every player we wanted to a new contract. MR certainly got to spend a lot of the McNulty transfer fee we received for McNulty.

    Ajax

Yep. Who can remember the year when Fulham battered Juventus to go through in the Europa League? Or the season Middlesbrough got to the final? We can trade exceptions to the rule all night. I’ll even give you Championship sides Birmingham and Wigan in there too! It’s fair to say the...

    Ajax

Liverpool got to the final, and a horror show from Karius cost them really. United won the Europa League in 2017. Man City were the statistically the best team in Europe last season and Liverpool could finish 2nd on 97pts this season. Crazy. In fairness, the La Liga teams dominated the Europa...
