Well the point of £4m signings is they don’t. A free like O’Hare or a sub £1m player like Sheaf aren’t the same as a Simms or an MvE you’d hope. Higher ceilings higher starting places.

We’ve played out from the back for a while. But having Sheaf and Hamer meant we could play the ball especially to Hamer under pressure and he could get us forward or beat the press with a pass. We’ve lost that close control and passing range with Eccles this season for all his other traits.

It’s also perfectly natural after you fucked your last big contract with an injury. Doesn’t mean we as his employers have to like it though.

Otherwise final day of the season would be like The Purge.

He strikes me as another O’Hare three years ago and we need better. We need someone who will score ten goals and also keep and progress the ball. Not another dribbler with little end product.

Not for me. I want someone closer to the finished product. Not impressed with Rudonis output and think well overpay cos he’s British.

Do you want to discuss boring politics?

How exactly are you thinking in person voter fraud works so this deters it? Are people just walking up and guessing a name? How many do you think are needed before it impacts a result? What little voter fraud has ever been found has mostly been through proxy and postal votes which this doesn’t...

You say that but with MvE our junkie right side has looked the best bit of the team. I wouldn’t give Wright any more though, definitely a three blasts and fast asleep kinda guy.

I thought counting didn’t start until tomorrow like the London one?

    Simms + Wright = ?

First team as in you’d expect them to play every week. We play one so two is one too many. As it stands we are dropping one of Saka, Simms, Wright, EMC. So *if* we were to sell, it would be less noticeable than say Sheaf going cos we’d need an immediate first team replacement straight away...

If anything is going to get us a random foreign owner taking us off Doug’s hands it’s games like the Man Utd one TBF.

    Tiredness

I keep going back to squad mentality. You’ve got Fadz and Vik types in the side you just don’t put in some of those performances, you don’t give away some of those goals, you don’t get distracted by the big games coming up. You can get around that by having options to replace players whose eye...

Genuinely can’t wait to be tracking flights of unknown Northern Europeans, giving the full CSI treatment to blurry images of footballers taken through chain link fence and translating Japanese websites again.

    Simms + Wright = ?

Another reason not to be too worried about potentially losing Simms TBH. Currently we’ve got one too many first team forwards. We wouldn’t even need a direct replacement as it stands. Just move Wright to CF.

    Concerned now

We don’t have a specific date, this is what Doug said last Jan when he took over, nonspecific timescales but same vibe: Robins first mentioned it after the playoffs but in a context of having already achieved the first.
