I see what you’re trying to say, but they have played their careers at a higher level than League 1 and have got good pedigree representing their countries at age-group level. Whether they work out or not, these are the kind of players we want to bring in.

For how desperate he was to jump ship after we got relegated, his career has gone from bad to worse since that episode. What’s interesting is whether or not Robins had plans for him before that point.

I have seen his goals from last season, but didn’t exactly have a measuring stick on hand. He’s listed at 1.8m, which is about 5”11. In fact, the Telegraph before the preseason match said ‘... the 5 foot 11 midfielder’. So clearly that’s wrong.
