Their player was definitely KO’d from that. Although some on here think it was playacting...

Of course! So for the likes of P’boro and Rotherham, they have 13/14 games left - we can catch them!

    Sky Blues are going up

They’ve lost 8 games so far this season, they are a bearable outfit and as another poster shown, still have difficult games to play. As the table stands, ourselves and Pompey are in stronger positions than P’boro and Wycombe at this moment. With 18 games left of the season, there’s a lot of...

We did beat Bolton in the end. For context, our result is pretty similar to how the teams around us have performed: Bolton v Sunderland 0-0 and 1-1 P’boro and Pompey (x2) won only 1-0 So they’ve shown that they up their game against the ‘big teams’.

From this forum, I got Robins is an ‘arrogant twat’ and ‘unable to change games’... We must’ve lost or drew.

Of the teams around us, only Rotherham and P’boro have scored significantly more than us. Only Sunderland have conceded less than us of the top 8.

I’ve said in another thread that we’ll come 3rd. However, we are very much in the hunt for automatic promotion. Besides, why is anyone upset if we aren’t good enough for automatic promotion? I don’t think anyone was really expecting us to be competing as we have been. Learn to enjoy yourself...

We’re 4th in the table, 2-3 games in hand on the teams above us and we’ve only lost only 3 games. Just enjoy each game as it comes and trust the process! If we get automatics, it’s a fantastic achievement as no one expected it. If we end in the playoffs, we have an opportunity of promotion still.

It’s a redundant question, Biamou and Gooden are under contract past this summer. As for Bakayoko, it’s dependent on him, if he ends the season well, it’ll be worth extending his contract. He’s got 4 goals in 19 league appearances, scoring a goal every 200-odd minutes - he’s nowhere near as bad...

Portsmouth spent £1.5-2 million on Marquis and he’s scored 6 league goals... McNulty and Grigg between them have 6 goals in all competitions, 4 in the league. Grigg cost £4 million and has scored 1 goal in 19 league games. Only strikers from Top 6 teams to have strikers with over 10 goals so...

It looked like the Bolton player was KO’d from that collision, he was motionless for over 10 seconds.

    Biggest difference this season?

We draws games where we’d usually lose, and we win games we’d usually draw. That’s the big change.

    Bakayoko

Agreed. My view is that he would have benefitted from having a strike partner with him. He was increasingly getting the ball in more difficult situations after Bolton started to get a foothold in the game. Biamou and Baka compliment each other quite well. Biamou harasses defenders, is better...

Agreed, Portsmouth are in a similar position to us atm. As you mentioned, big games upcoming up so I don’t want to get too carried away. 2 pts off of automatics with 2 games in hand, I would take that all day. I don’t care about whether we finish 1st or 2nd!

Is it in our own hands?

We’re two points off 2nd place with 2 games in hand. Yes, we’ve only won 3 on the bounce, but since we’ve only lost 3 games all season, and only once since October, we’re picking up points in 90% of our games. Meanwhile, you’ve got P’boro who have lost 30% of their games, even Rotherham have...

My Wycombe supporting mate joked that we left it late to grab the win. I said we played pretty poorly and gave them too many chances. His response is interesting, saying: ‘it’s about winning the games where you’re playing shit’ and added that he reckons we’ll win the league. From that...

Agreed. In fairness, our 2020 schedule has been packed with extra FA Cup games. For me, you could tell the squad is pretty tired since we chose to only bring on 1 sub today in the 90 minutes.

I think playing 120 minutes v Bham did not help us v Bolton at all. We looked a bit lethargic in places. We gave Bolton far too many chances down that O’Grady channel, Rose and Dabo struggling to cope with him. 3 points is 3 points and onto Portsmouth on Tuesday!

I thought it was Rose getting beat by O’Grady rather than Dabo. Attacking-wise, everything we did came down his side.
