    Cobblers defiant after threat

I would assume ACL have spoken with a lawyer before they've done this so they must have some belief there is a case to answer. Wonder if NTFC have any agreement with SISU for them to cover legal fees, doubt it. being dragged through the courts, should it come to that, is going to eat into the...

Powell explains why ACL are suing NTFC

I was under the impression that no groundshare could commence while we are in admin and that we will def still be in admin at the start of the season. In that case why would ACL be making a deal with Otium they are quite right to say they will deal with the administrator, nothing to say they...

Powell explains why ACL are suing NTFC

so what you're saying then is if as much pressure as possible is put on NTFC then they will pull out there will be no penalty to pay and SISU will have to go crawling back to ACL asking to play at the Ricoh.

Have acl got sisu by the balls?

I've always thought this, you can't cherry pick the bits of Ltd you want either as that would clearly be asset stripping. I think ACL will argue that the lease is tied to the football club and as the share moves around so does the lease.

Review the results from our 2013 CCFC Supporters' Survey

Look how the question is phrased: With no other option than looking at an alternative venue to host our matches, would you attend games at another stadium outside of Coventry in the short term, to help preserve the long term future of your club? I answered yes but there's no way I'm going to...

ACL move things up a few gears

It's not too complicated, PA is the administer and he was selected by SISU and has made Otium (a SISU clone) preferred bidder. He is now saying he wants to be the independent mediator. Either he's offering as the administrator and he's therefore not independent or he's not offering as the...

Ricoh Arena to sue Northampton Town FC

the legal chap speaking on behalf of ACL seemed to imply there was an argument to be had that the lease is tied to the golden share and even if SISU liquidate ltd with the lease in it ACL have a claim that it's still valid. Cardoza might regret publicly saying SISU could afford ot pay the rent...

    Question for PWKH

I put a tenner on one of those cards when they went cashless and it's still got money on it! A lot of people can manage to go 2 hours without a pie!

Ricoh Arena to sue Northampton Town FC

never like to see fans dragged into things but Cardoza had plenty of warning it was a bad idea getting involved but thought he'd pocket some easy cash. no sympathy for him at all.

Ricoh Arena to sue Northampton Town FC

Wonder if they will take the FL to court as well. Seems like the league have been doing everything they can to avoid SISU taking them to court, would make me laugh if they now got taken to court by ACL instead.

Ricoh Arena to sue Northampton Town FC

not sure of the business terminology but I would think ACL can either argue all the SISU companies are one and the same and therefore the lease is valid or that SISU have been asset stripping and just leaving liabilities they don't want in Ltd. Struck me as very odd that the administrator...

Ricoh Arena to sue Northampton Town FC

haha, amazing stuff. good on them. wonder if Cradoza still thinks this is easy money and there's nothing that could possibly go wrong!?

    "Save Chip"

2 points, first Fisher has said they don't have to pay until the 3rd year so they haven't paid anything, second it's basically a franchise fee. When any league around the world expands or a franchise wants to move they have to pay a fee, the FL have just set a franchise fee of £1m that any club...

    And Keys says.........

If it was discussed directly with SISU Fisher would just say no and we'd never hear about it, this way its i the public domain which applies pressure to the FL as they have been saying playing at NTFC is being allowed only because there is no other option.

    Fisher rejects Hoffman offer

Looking at their local paper site there does seem to be a lot more resistance to it than when it was first announced. The police don't seem happy, local residents are complaining and I've seen at least one NTFC sponsor who has said they are withdrawing as a result of this.

    Fisher rejects Hoffman offer

not sure how much revenue they'll get from NTFC, all their F&B is outsourced and Cardoza has stated they will be dealing with the extra matches and getting the money from that. He's also said that NTFC will be getting a cut of everything else. Given we're looking at a 75% or more reduction in...

An International Football Festival in Coventry

Turns out Sydney Sky Blues are going to be in Europe for 3 weeks, think it would get a decent amount of press to have them play at the Rioch, game against a legends team would get a decent turnout. http://www.footballaustralia.com.au/news-display/sydney-fc-to-embark-on-european-tour/70549

Let me start a rumor (make that two rumors)

Good point, SISU are claiming holdings is the club so what's stopping them making all these signings they supposedly have lined up?

Let me start a rumor (make that two rumors)

Pompey fell below the minimum squad size as they refused to even put their kids on the bench, we've going to have a problem if we're trying to use that rule as the league will count the 'bomb squad' as eligible senior players.
