Literally thousands not protesting outside Council House

I'm all for those who think the council are in the wrong having their chance to protest but having read their website I'm really not sure what they're hoping to achieve. Of course the headline of the campaign, get cov back to the ricoh, is something I'm pretty sure we all agree with but the...

Literally thousands not protesting outside Council House

Not at all, are you saying that the launch of this campaign will help unite the fans because that's not the impression I get.

Literacy thousands not protesting outside Council House

Fair point but right at the time the other groups are making moves to bring everyone together this new group have appeared to cause further division! I'm not at all clear from their website / petition what they actually want to achieve.

Literacy thousands not protesting outside Council House

Exactly this, the numbers on the hill and at SISU / FL offices have been ridiculed yet 40 people turning up for a protest in Coventry is a 'fantastic turnout' Have the CT ever sent a reporter to cover live the protests on the hill, FL or SISU offices? Not trying to be awkward or start and...

Bob Ainsworth releases CCFC documents (OCTOBER 21, 2013)

isn't he officially the polictics reporter? Given this story involves a local MP and a debate in parliment that must come under his remit although looking at his twitter he seems to preoccupied with getting people to go and protest outside the council house.

Bob Ainsworth releases CCFC documents (OCTOBER 21, 2013)

Have to say it is a bit strange that there doesn't even seem to be a mention of the documents or the debate this afternoon. Would expect them to have a story on both of those, maybe it will show up later.

Bob Ainsworth releases CCFC documents (OCTOBER 21, 2013)

Someone once told me, and I have no idea if it's true or not, that Richardson wasn't actually that wealthy when he took over but was a lot more wealthy when he left. As I say just what I was told so take it as face value unless anyone else has more info.

Telegraph Poll: 66% Oppose the sale of the Ricoh to Sisu

On the same basis should the CT then be giving coverage to the recent get cov back to the ricoh petition. I'm doubt the likes of Cardoza and Fisher have really signed it so that is also easily manipulated as well so if Les Reid is saying the CT poll isn't worth reporting on why is he reporting...

Bob Ainsworth releases CCFC documents (OCTOBER 21, 2013)

Would there be anyone still at the club and would have access to this kind of thing who is not in someway tied to SISU? If there's not and it's someone no longer there it makes me wonder why they felt the need to retain copies, the only reason I can think of is that they suspected something...

    A Reasonable Proposal?

I don't think splitting the Ricoh would be as easy as people think. For me the best options is for SISU to take the following steps: 1) buy Higgs share of ACL, I believe the formula was for around £10m but a much lower offer was accepted 2) purchase CCC share of ACL 3) make a deal with the...

    seen this?

you could make an argument for that, for example leaving HR. on the financial side however SISU picked the club up for virtually nothing, including people handing their shares over. I think I'm right in saying that while the pre-SISU debt appears to have stayed on the books SISU didn't actually...

    Walsall make a small profit

thanks for the clarification swiftly. Am I right in thinking there was talk of trying to get the council to purchase the ground and lease it back to the club?

    seen this?

If it's going to work as an exit strategy it has to be sold below market value doesn't it? If SISU were to buy it at market value and then sell it on they will just get their money back how does that work as an exit strategy? Sure there may be a small increase in value by having the club and...

    seen this?

Sorry, have I got this right. Are you suggesting the council should hand over the Ricoh for next to nothing to SISU to allow them to shortly afterwards sell it for tens of millions to recoup their investment? Would the council not have some questions to answer legally if they gave away an asset...

    Walsall make a small profit

Do Walsall get the money from other events? I have a vague recollection of their fans complaining they didn't get money from things like the car boot sale so I'm not certain they do. Sure they've at least once tried to get the council to buy the ground so they can lease it back off them!

not sure how they operate but it could well be the case that they only list on their events diary (assuming you mean one that is generally available for us to see) that are open to the public. private or trade invite only events may not be listed.

Who Votes Sell the stadium to SISU

would you not also have a potential issue with date clashes and who gets preference? there must be events that could be on at the non stadium part of the Ricoh where the organisers request not to clash with a match, given the date the fixtures are released and the lead time on these sort of...
