It’s the other way round, he’s not been as good since Norwich away and he’s been deservedly dropped. I like COH and wish him well in the future but he’ll be easier to replace than Hamer and Gyokeres imo. In short, if he’s going, we’ll survive and move on. It’s been the same since McNulty left...

COH didn’t want to sign one then - he’s said as much because he knew if he hit form after his injury he’d have Premiership interest. If he got injured again, he probably knew we’d renew his contract as we did with JJ. With 18 months left on his contract at the time of the injury, it was a...

    Callum O’hare

He’s had a good scoring run, but imo, he needs to get back in the goals and assists to prove he is capable of the big step to top flight football in England or elsewhere on the continent. He’s a good player but some of his performances have been quite frustrating. In fairness, coming from a...

    Transfer Rumour Summer 2024

I’d avoid United - it’s a career graveyard atm. Gyokeres at Spurs could work really well under Ange!

Has he though? He’s scored all his goals in an impressive 12-14 game stretch (including FA Cup) but not since and he’s been dropped in favour of Palmer. Personally, I’d love to keep him but I’m sceptical if he can make it in the Prem.

    Transfer Rumour Ellis Simms

Not really the point I was making. Sargent has been a full USA international, been a starter for Norwich in the Prem costing £10-15m iirc. He’s obviously the better player. It’s more of a call for people who have said Simms will never be good enough a cause for reflection. His goal scoring...

    Transfer Rumour Ellis Simms

2 more goals than Josh Sargent… How much did he cost again? In the next 1-2 seasons people will look back at their criticisms of Simms and cringe.

Is there any news on restocking if the FA Cup and Pony retro replica remakes? I’m after both home jerseys.

Like who? Eccles did well against Mavididi, but so did MVE. Eccles isn’t a WB and isn’t better there than MVE. When he’s on form, MVE is our best player. He’s looked a little bit tired in recent weeks because, like Sakamoto, they played nearly every minute of our run in December/Jan. MR needs...

Anyone else now not renewing their ST

Agreed on the driving. I’m pretty lucky that when I travel up from Maidenhead I can sleep over my mums. The 2 hour commute to work the next day can be really difficult at times - Tuesday and Wednesdays are my compulsory office days. That all said, I’ll still renew.

    Transfer Rumour Summer 2024

Agreed, our squad depth is ‘net’ 3 players down from last season. Our overall quality, imo, is better but we still have a busy summer ahead.

I like Eccles but he’s still developing and will improve. In my view, he’s a solid player but isn’t going to pull us through games in the way Hamer and Sheaf have done at this moment in time. Even so, saying we need to improve the midfield isn’t saying our existing players aren’t good. Hamer...

I’m not slating Eccles specifically, we were poor against PNE and WBA and in my view, we struggled at LB/WB and in midfield. You say it’s tedious, but I challenge you to answer this one question: Do you believe we can win promotion to the Premiership with Sheaf, Eccles, Torp, Kelly and Allen...

How can you nitpick his technique? This is armchair football coach stuff. His penalty record speaks for himself here and in Turkey.

We don’t need to play two holding midfielders. With Torp specifically, he started really brightly, but has tailed off a bit. There’s always an adaptation period moving into the intensity of the EFL and having just finished the Norwegian league prior to joining. Sheaf being injured has forced...

I don’t disagree that Torp was anonymous in those games… but did Eccles do much better? Midfield needs to be beefed up whether or not Sheaf goes. 1-3 signings at least to replace Kelly, Allen and potentially Sheaf.

    Leicester points deduction

Avoid legal action if it cost them automatic promotion in all likelihood. The deferred punishment seems like the governing body has assumed Leicester’s automatic promotion is a foregone conclusion.

Upfront working capital. You’d take £350 upfront at the start of the year over that split over 23 different dates. Even if you would earn more over that prolonged period.
