What on earth are you on about? I never said goals scored or conceded were anomalies or that certain types of goals don't count. But the numbers, 6 set piece goals conceded in 3 league games and 12 goals scored in 2 league games were.

They're anomalies because we were never going to cary on conceding set pieces at the rate we were nor averaging 6 goals per game. And that's proven to be the case.

The set piece thing was an anomaly, as was smashing in 12 goals in 2 games.

This time last year Blackburn were unbeaten in 2nd. I'm not saying we have less reason for optimism than they did because this side is clearly better than theirs but it is very early days.

I'm not sure that the reaction to taking the lead against a newly promoted side at home really proves this team has a stronger mentality than the team who came from behind against Wolves and from 3 0 down in the semi. I'd say it's better team ability wise.

I had some great away days, really enjoyable. Even Barnet away, which football wise was as grim as it comes, was a brilliant away day. Notts County away in the semi was one of the great away days.

There were some great days out that season as well as some very grim ones.

Fortunately that's where the pitch is located.
