Damien Collins MP to mention City in parliament

If it's not being disputed that the council got Tesco to pay £54m for council owned land than it follows that it was the councils money and there's nothing to say they had to put it into the arena project. No reason they couldn't have sold the land to Tesco and not bothered building a new ground.

Statement Issued By Sky Blue Trust

Once it got to the point that the offers from ACL couldn't be reasonably rejected Fisher and Labovich started saying there's no way they could go back renting as they couldn't work with ACL. Don't really see why not, if the deal is on the table and you take it until the new stadium is ready...

ACL have already offered a 3 year deal, the rest of this season (offered before Xmas) and then the next two seasons.

For a PL game on Sky Sports you'd probably be looking at peak rate so around £10K + VAT for 30 seconds.

Full page in the Sun is over £50K + VAT from memory, you then get hit with other charges on top.

3 years with a possible extension to 5, under one of the FL's exemptions to their own rules.

There is a FL rule saying you must have at least 10 years on your lease but I think ACL also offered a deal for the remainder of this year and the next two seasons taking us up to when our new ground is ready!

Didn't ACL offer to subsidise the remainder of this season as SISU would have to pay compensation to Northampton if they left part way through a season?

It's an odd arguement that the Ricoh should be the same cost as Sixfields. I'm sure if you wanted to hire a ground and Sphinx and the Ricoh both quoted you the same rate you'd think it was a bit odd given that one is obviously a much better facility than the other.

Statement Issued By Sky Blue Trust

When you compare the offer at Sixfields with the offer at the Ricoh I'm not sure you're comparing like with like. At Sixfields we are secondary tenants, we turn up 20 something days a year to use the ground for a few hours. At the Ricoh we are primary tenantswith first call on all dates (as per...

The council have released 2 statements on this, the gist of it is they will consider any reasonable offer but it's not possible to offer the unencumbered freehold. To me that's telling SISU to put an offer in and that hasn't happened. Can't see the council making any more statements after the...

Maybe they can't do that as there isn't a genuine reason and it's more a case of they want certain people off the SBT as they feel others are more sympathetic to SISU's version of events.

I may be getting the offers mixed up but I think the latest offer was of free for the rest of this season then £150K for the next two seasons and then we move into our new ground, well according to SISU anyway. That offer was made through the FL I think after Labovich's 'I can't hear you'...

That would have to go to ACL I think. I think they've already said £150K a year but it can't hurt to get it confirmed that the offer is still available to SISU.

Exactly the right response to Labovich's letters.

Sky Blues to block Wolves fans from buying up 'home' tickets for Sixfields game

I know they're doing work, just seems a bit odd to do it in the middle of the season and cause a stand to be closed. If they can do that it implies they don't need the capacity which makes extending the ground a strange plan.

Sky Blues to block Wolves fans from buying up 'home' tickets for Sixfields game

How odd, do they not get enough home fans at Northampton games to need to use it?

Sky Blues to block Wolves fans from buying up 'home' tickets for Sixfields game

Probably not a sell out but they'd sell their 6,000 out and we always used to get a bigger home crowd when it got hyped up with a big away following. If it was at the Ricoh I could see it being over 20K.

There's the stand opposite the main stand which isn't opened they might as well let Wolves fans have that as well.
