    24/25 changes?

Yes, we do because there's next to no goals in midfield. In the league campaign, we've mustered 12 goals all season from midfield compared to 9 goals from defence. It's not good enough.

    Sheaf

Unfortunately, he has 2 years left as it expires in June 2026. The club needs to make a decision because his value is at its peak right now. If the club doesn’t think we’re nailed on for automatics next season, then the best decision is to probably cash in and get more players in. We’re close...

Player of the Season top 5

We have 2 CBs going into next season, 3 if you include Lati who’s covering MVE at RB too. I believe our resident ITKs reckon we’re going for 2 CBs.

    The no loans strategy

To things back in perspective, the objective Robins was set by King was to compete for a playoff place. In the end, would spending a lot of budget on loanees made the difference this season? I don’t think so and if it was the difference between securing EMC permanently, we’ve took the right...

He’s a good defender, it was only a couple of months ago people were fawning over him. His red card today was a ‘good’ one to receive.

Even as a fan, I’m burnt out, let alone the players! A lot of positives to take from this campaign and we’re close to having the quality needed to challenge next season!

Without Sheaf today, our midfield looked hopeless. The highlight of the game was the McFadz send off. It was really nice and you could see that it touched McFadz! Well deserved! ❤️

    Watch along

I’d like to know who is watching someone watch a game of football for ‘entertainment’. The clips can be funny but it’s all performative… I did enjoy the 19 minutes of meltdown.

    24/25 changes?

They reinvested ‘properly’ last summer too…

    24/25 changes?

Norwich, WBA, Hull, Leeds, Southampton and even Leicester (pre-red card) were better than than us at moving the ball through midfield than we were. I can't comment on Ipswich as I missed that fixture. Torp has shown some real glimpses of class but he's not really shown this consistently yet.

    24/25 changes?

We’re not ready for promotion - we need a good 5-6 players to come in. Yes there are mitigating factors, but our form against our competitors tells the story of this season. We haven’t had the quality to beat (or at least not lose) against the top half teams. Against the top half, we’ve got: 4...

    24/25 changes?

You talk about conceding goals as if defence isn't a team effort. Yes, there's been individual defensive errors and there's been times our midfield has been bypassed out wide and and down the middle and we've failed to defend from the front. Take Man U as an example, we exposed them (and...

    24/25 changes?

It's a balancing act. On one hand, you're absolutely right that recycling the team every year is not going to be the most optimal way to get promoted. On the other, we still fund the next phase our team development. We may have our disagreements about where we need to improve, but we're in...

I don’t think you are qualified to diagnose anyone you don’t know and have never spoken to in person. Too many armchair experts on here.

Wright's very first contribution where he hit the crossbar against Leicester showed his quality. In fact, correct me if I'm wrong but it may have been you who'd written him off based on his highlight reel where a comparison was made to Bakayoko.

Exactly this. If anyone needs some perspective, always read Robins’ post match interviews. They’re mostly spot on and he’s frank in his assessments. First, he knows we need more quality to get to the next level (needs to be down ‘sustainably’). Secondly, he’s acknowledged that our lack of depth...

    New number one needed

We’re conceded the 7th least goals in the league and the only teams above us with a better GA record is Leicester, Leeds, Ipswich and WBA. Hardly a ‘poor year’. Out attack is the 6th best so our attack and defensive records are similar.

Even this forum has the same temperament as a toddler at times. Euphoric when we’re winning and raging when we’re losing. One minute we’ve got a great team, the next it’s totally back to the drawing board.

Thomas is being asked to play a certain way and MR gives him the confidence to do so. He’s just turned 23 and will improve his game. McFadz, before he came Mr. Reliable , had a mistake in him too. Patience is a virtue and we’ll be better next season.
