The mans a bellend but there aren't to many strikers about at this level who will score as many as he potentially can, not for free anyway. If he's willing to talk we would be daft not to at least consider him.
I'd have Cranie back like a shot. Didn't have an attacking element to his game but solid defensively, inspired confidence. If i remember rightly he could pretty much play anywhere across the back 4 too so useful versatility. Can't say as I really remember a great deal about Bailey
Perhaps this is just "we didn't get relegated!" optimism but I kinda sense that SISU went for Mowbray so that he could tell them what to do and might just give him some backing.
I have believed for a long time that SISU were just using us as some kind of massive tax dodge and genuinely didn't...
Something must have changed because whether or not Mowbray does actually sign today this whole exercise has cost SISU money. If they genuinely didn't care if we stayed up or not they could have left Elvis in place or else sacked him to make a show of caring then appointing Hockaday. A manager...
A pointless discussion until he actually signs. We have been bitten by "verbal contracts" before. I'll be happy with TM as manager, if and when he signs
The only real positives I can see in all this is that it does now look less likely that they are going to appoint Hockaday.
I'm not convinced by the idea of Mowbray or Morrell but I'd sooner ha e either of them than Hockaday.
Adkins, Rosler or Warburton would be great but I just can't see...
Flitcroft is worth a mention. Struggled at Barnsley but done well at Bury with no cash to spend.
Immaterial of course because its going to be Hockaday....
It'll be Hockaday and/or MacFarlane. Anyone else is just wishful thinking. Temp till end of the season and then because it's SISU, they will give him a 25 year contract and his own statue.
I suspect as SISU had broken the terms of their tenancy by withholding rent that there was no legal compunction for CCC to inform them of the change of direction, however, how much of this mess could have been avoided if they had?
I agree there is no logic to it, totally agree with that but there is also no logic in being there temporarily either.
If we agree that they wont build a new stadium and we see no realistic option for a Ricoh return, what option does that leave? Staying in Northampton? Ground sharing somewhere...
Thats what i said when the notion of leaving the Ricoh was first mooted. Not a chance I said. Then look what happened......
With each passing day i am more and more convinced that the plan is to stay in Northampton and become franchise FC
