    Maddison to Newcastle.

Assuming we do, Norwich is 15% and ours is 10-15% based on differing reports. I think he'll end up going for £60-65m - Leicester no mugs. So we'll get between £540k and £925k dependent on the specifics. Not bad.

    Sunderland Ratings

Moore 4 - clanger for their goal, took a dangerous cross well in the second half though Eccles 3 - Well off it, perhaps the occasion got to him. He’s a much better player than that Bidwell 3 - bad performance, seemed to misjudge everything, easily beaten by Gooch for their goal as well Hyam 6...

    Waghorn

Dabo has the capability to be in a promotion winning champ team. As others have said, major fitness problems, coupled with him being very rusty when he’s been out.

If we keep the big 3 (4 including Sheaf)

I think we can get top 6 if we can avoid major injuries. We weren’t far off last year, performances were there. If O’Hare and Gyokeres improve again, we’ll be right up there. Not to mention Sheaf and Hamer best cm pairing in the division! Sky Blues tinted specs 😎

Better that than panic and spend money on players that aren't right

    O'Hare bids

Yeah agreed with all of that. I suppose it's just the notion that our owners won't invest the any of the money that I would take issue with. Next summer will be interesting, presume we'll have to cash our chips on Hamer and Gyokeres then as well.

    O'Hare bids

Absolutely correct, something needs to plug that shortfall. However if we stop investing in playing staff that will only get worse. I think we'll spend some of the O'Hare money, I just don't think we'll invest at a rate that will give us success.

    O'Hare bids

If anything the burden is having to supplement riskier, investment type signings with proven championship-quality experience, e.g. Palmer, Bidwell. That's the part you'd stop doing..

    O'Hare bids

But surely irrelevant if we're buying a young, high-potential player that would be classed as an asset? You'd invest/continue to borrow to one day make the return. I concede that's not easy and comes with risk, but if you say the big 3 will pull in £25-30m in fees then surely that is the only...

    O'Hare bids

The no reinvestment thing doesn't make any sense. We've got a recent history of spending a relatively small amount and getting potentially huge returns on that outlay (even taking wages into consideration), why would you cease doing the very thing that makes money. I could believe that we...

    O'Hare bids

Feels like a shit fee, he’s worth a lot more to us than £6m. It’s probably not far off his market value though, and we don’t know what add ons are agreed for promotion, sell-on, etc. We also don’t know what happens with the money. Ultimately we’ve spent millions on players the past 2-3 years...

    Incoming! - Callum Doyle

Hard to know what to expect, sounds like he's good with the ball but short defensively. Suspect our style and playing in a 3 will suit him. Players improve rapidly at that age too.

    As it stands

I wouldn’t start Palmer yet, let him have a couple off the bench, build his match fitness. Also Gyokeres is probably our best player, never mind striker.

    Transfer Shouts

Not sure how good he is though, beyond being another defender, not sure he improves things.

Any think it's very unprofessional? Leak in the camp

Haha jeez it's not The West Wing

    Hamer bids

Some weird appraisals here. His form in the first half of 20/21 basically kept us up. Then last season he was brilliant throughout. Does everything and more that you’d want from a player in that position. O’Hare and Gyokeres great players too, but Hamer will be a massive loss for us. Not easily...

    Derby points deduction

That Malcolm Ebiowei has joined Palace. Was the best performance from an opposition player I saw last season (or certainly the one I noticed most), and I'd never heard of him before the game.

    Gyökeres Bids

I think he definitely would be. World Cup on the horizon, he will be desperate to be involved. It wasn’t something I’d considered, but could give us a better chance of keeping hold of him. Edit - ignore entirely

    Sam McCallum

Not sure this is true. Was one of our better players first year in the champ. He’s got all the ingredients for me, strong, athletic, competitive, and a capable defender. Hamstring injury affected his progress last season, but by all accounts did well when he played. Don’t love the idea of...

    Transfer Shouts

Ultimately to compete and step on we have to be clever, and take calculated risks. He's got pedigree and proven ability, but his career has taken a dip and he's not played enough football. Bottom line is, he's a good age, not had any major injuries, and should be an upgrade on what we've got...
