    Transfer Shouts

Is it more of a risk to buy a high-quality, young player for a decent fee and stick them on a four year deal, or sign a 29 year old on high wages for a 3 year deal? Hamer and Gyokeres were signed for £1m+ and both will go for a lot more. Spending money doesn't definitely = being irresponsible...

    Transfer Shouts

Well you'd think Gyokeres and Hamer are leaving - and the former for a decent fee

    Transfer Shouts

Speculate to accumulate. Nothing wrong with spending money if we’re confident we’ll get it back and more. That’s how the club has to be run.

    Transfer Shouts

A beacon of optimism! I suspect we’ll be rebuilding a squad in the summer, and have some cash to spend

    Transfer Shouts

Surely if he does well here and Burnley go up, there's a deal to be done

Bidwell probably more consistent, but not on the same level as Maatsen for me. Maatsen was key in our build up play last year, he was always on the ball, and he used to be such as driver on the left hand side.

    Transfer Rumour Outgoings?

Haha what’s up with people. Waghorn and Kane weren’t wanted and barely played, it’s obviously good business by the club

    Transfer Rumour Jamie Patterson

Don’t think we’d be signing Paterson if O’Hare hadn’t got the bad injury. Limited options in January - would prefer the high potential PL cast off or L1/2 young star, but this might work out. Local guy, knows where the goal is. Let’s see

    Josh Eccles New Contract

Yep fair. Also think it’s ok question it. I don’t per se think it’s a mistake as he can do a job for us, but I don’t see much to say he’s going to play at a higher level.

    Josh Eccles New Contract

He's 22, and I don't think he's strung two consecutive good performances together. What have you seen that makes you say that? Long contracts don't necessarily = good decisioning

    Josh Eccles New Contract

Suppose if you only judge it on the most recent season (due to his age) it's a very different picture. Seems odd, no doubt, just trying to understand the thinking. It makes more sense than giving older players with no resale value, who earn decent cash, stupid length deals.

    Josh Eccles New Contract

Understand the point here, don't personally think he's good enough and four years seems too much. However all football squads are full of players below the level (bar City). If he's good value for what he is, and he's happy to sign, then possibly not as bad as it seems.

    Josh Eccles New Contract

You need bodies in, even if Eccles is a bit below what we are aspiring. When fit he does a job, might improve, and no doubt he's cheap (relatively). What I don't want to see is us signing more big name championship has-beens who have questionable fitness and are on the slide. Waghorn a good...

    Josh Eccles New Contract

Imagine he's cheap, which is probably the same reason we've dished out big contracts before.

    Transfer Shouts

😂 haha, we’re not where we are because we haven’t booed our own players enough

    Doug King Takeover

Yeah I agree, phone calls could be especially vital for our older supporters.

Free CRM systems tend to be fraught with issues and the useful features cost a lot extra. A company with a turnover like the football club, will also want a contract in place with a paid and reputable provider, which will reduce data risk, and potentially cover liabilities in respect to any...

    Transfer Shouts

Yeah I struggle with the revisionist crap. As if everyone didn’t absolutely love him in our promotion season.

    Transfer Shouts

But you’re only picking one variable from his stats. I’d wager that his profile in L1 for an attacking fullback was as good as any other.

    Transfer Shouts

Bit unfair, he was unbelievably good going forward on his day.
